J. Lloyd explained that during the preliminary he was concerned with the horse’s action and for this reason he sought a veterinary inspection on arrival at the barriers. He said that after having the horse trotted and cantered up behind the start and in consultation with the veterinary surgeon he was satisfied that the horse was suitable to race, and this opinion was confirmed by the veterinary surgeon.
