Stewards today concluded an inquiry into interference near the 750m where DANCETIME (B. Thomson) and I WANNA BREAK FREE (S. Wilson) where checked and lost their rightful running. After hearing evidence on the day from E, Cass (HARCOURTSTREET) and stable representative Mr P. Rowe, B. Thomson (DANCETIME), B. Nothdurft (FRENCH AMOUR) and hearing further evidence today from E. Cass and Jockey Advocate Ms L. Morrison, B. Thomson, and S. Wilson and viewing of the official race film; E. Cass, rider of HARCOURT STREET pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that she allowed her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of FRENCH AMOUR (B. Nothdurft) which was dictated inwards and then continued to shift in placing I WANNA BREAK FREE (S. Wilson) and DANCETIME (B. Thomson) in restricted room causing both those runners to be checked and lose their rightful running. E. Cass’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 17 days to commence midnight 25 March 2017 and to expire midnight 11 April 2017.
