Jockey Watson was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days, to commence at midnight on Saturday 19th August 2017 up to and including Saturday 26th August 2017. Stewards inquired into an incident which occurred near the 300m and resulted in CORNISH TALES (Jockey W. D'Avila) and GREY PARIZ (Jockey K. Aho) both being inconvenienced and GREY PARIZ making contact with the running rail. After taking evidence from App. Z. White, the rider of DAINTY STEPPER, Jockey W. D'Avila (CORNISH TALES) and Jockey K. Aho (GREY PARIZ), and viewing the available patrol footage, stewards established that DAINTY STEPPER, which was racing ungenerously and laying in at the time, had initially shifted out bumping with ONEMORE BOPA (A. Coome), and as a result shifted in and away from that runner causing tightening to CORNISH TAILS, as that gelding was attempting a marginal run between DAINTY STEPPER and GREY PARIZ, which was tightened and made contact with the running rail. Stewards were of the opinion that the main contributing cause of the incident was the racing manners of DAINTY STEPPER, none the less App. Z. White was advised to ride with extra vigilance in such circumstances when her mounts raced ungenerously..
