Race 3: Duggan Livestock & Bulk Haulage Jordon TPT Services Class 3 Plate - 1600 metres
1st BOLD AVENUE 2nd TREMONT 3rd TIP RAT 4th - ROCKCHESTA

Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey N Day (ROCKCHESTA) which finished 4th, against TREMONT (Apprentice Q. Krogh) being declared 2nd, alleging interference over the concluding stages. After taking evidence from the parties involved, viewing the official patrol videos and acting on their own observations, Stewards established that TREMONT had shifted in and caused ROCKCHESTA to be crowded for room. However, bearing in mind the margin of a long neck between the runners at the finish, they could not be satisfied that it had detrimentally affected the placings, and consequently the protest was dismissed and the judge's placings ordered to stand. Apprentice Krogh was advised to stop riding and straighten in similar circumstances.
