MANAGE AND DRIVE THE COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE OF THE BUSINESS IN RACING IN QLD.

How we will achieve our objectives:

  • Produce a racing program that is conducive to maximising wagering and customer engagement
  • Increase the Queensland racing industry’s alignment with wagering operators
  • Appropriate conversion of non-TAB race meetings to TAB race meetings
  • Review and maximise media rights opportunities
  • Improve costs to income ratio, grow revenue and drive innovation.

 

 

CREATE A SUSTAINABLE RACING INDUSTRY IN QUEENSLAND

How we will achieve our objectives:

  • Investigate regional support for non-TAB racing

  • Determine viability of centralising administration functions and / or services

  • Design a structure which aligns club performance to industry goals

  • Improve the club financial reporting systems to monitor, manage and support clubs, meeting longterm fiscal obligations

  • Implement a strategy utilising social media to identify and increase the number of people attending races.

 

WE HAVE A 20+ YEAR PLAN TO MEET OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS AND LEVERAGE INDUSTRY ASSETS.

How we will achieve our objectives:

  • Implement a long term infrastructure plan for the three racing codes
  • Develop an Asset Operating Model to ensure clubs have appropriate maintenance and capital expenditure programs in place
  •  Develop an Asset Condition Register
  • Work with clubs to identify development opportunities to extract maximum value from club land holdings
  • Delivery of identified projects on time and within budget

 

 

DEVELOP ORGANISATIONAL SYSTEMS AND CAPABILITY TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE DELIVERY & EFFICIENCIES

How we will achieve our objectives:

  • Develop a new marketing program for all codes that includes a revised website
  • Enhance management information systems and develop information technology systems to enable sophisticated data analysis
  • Implement a talent management framework and succession planning processes
  • Development of a performance management / KPI system for Racing Queensland staff
  • Review options for outsourcing of non-core functions
  • Conduct a procurement review to identify savings available

 

 

RACING TO BE RECOGNISED AS A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTOR TO THE QUEENSLAND COMMUNITY

How we will achieve our objectives:

  • Ensure the integrity and welfare standards of racing animals including supporting racehorse retirement initiatives
  • Promotion of the racing industry’s contribution to the community
  • Explore opportunities to partner with community in country racing regions
  • Coordination with other horse events.
