The Moranbah Race Club (MRC) Judges Tower upgrade was a project funded by Racing Queensland, aimed at replacing the existing non-compliant tower.
The new tower has been relocated 5 meters closer to the track and consists of two levels, featuring bifold windows on both levels, LED lights, and numerous power outlets for all necessary equipment.
Level one accommodates both the Race caller and the Steward, while the second level houses both operators of the photo finish and the Live feed camera.
The club will reopen to public in November 2023 for the penultimate race of the year.
Project Timeline:
- March 2023: Complete design and approvals
- March 2023: Award contract
- March 2023: Commence construction
- June 2023: MRC racing weekend (Works ceased)
- Sept 2023: Project completion
