RACE TWO

LIFES BLACK (1) pressed on from gate 4 to take up the running here last start over the mile. Sneaking a 2nd stanza breather he was grabbed on the line by BRIAN WHO finishing 2.5m in arrears. A winner of 3 of his past 5 starts, he has the speed to light the lamps here and from the front can look to dictate.

JUST TOMMY (8) returns from a spell following a last start victory when able to find the front from gate 5 over the mile and control the tempo to break his maiden tag at start number 4. Still very green at his 1st 3 outings since arriving in Qld, he will get a cosy trip here and can be ready to strike.

MONTANA MALONE (2) will take great benefit from his latest start when 2nd up in his career over the Redcliffe 1780m trip. Working his way to the front he packed too many guns to score by an expanding margin. This is the next step but he looks smart.

GOTOTHEMOON (3) has been freshened since his last appearance when fading in the latter stages after working in the run. A winner at his previous 2 starts over the Redcliffe sprint trip, he can be thereabouts here.

SELECTIONS: LIFES BLACK (1), JUST TOMMY (8), MONTANA MALONE (2), GOTOTHEMOON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LIFES BLACK (1) to win

RACE THREE

KASH US BACK (7) resumes from a spell and is making a hit and run visit for NSW trainer Gemma Rue. Not seen at the trials to prepare for the return, he was after a hat-trick after winning his 1st 2 career starts when striking OUR PRINCESS TIFFANY. Not disgraced when 3rd to the subsequent NSW Oaks winner, he can overcome gate 7 against this line-up to open his 3YO account.

SPECIAL RESERVE (4) has placed at her past 4 in succession as she searches for what is proving an elusive 3YO victory. Last start she led them up over the mile when grabbed in the closing stages to go under by a head. Beaten no further than 3m at each of the 4 placings, she can find position with her early speed and has claims.

SAMS THE BEST (8) will need some luck in transit from this gate as he looks set to be buried in the run but with the cosy trip can be ready to offer in the closing stages. Gunned down late when looking to lead throughout at Redcliffe 2 starts back, he has podium claims.

FEEL LIKE DANCIN (2) is a Mr Feelgood filly on debut for trainer Wayne Graham that has been to the trials 3 times in readiness for her debut. The latest of those was a tidy effort and from the good alley can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: KASH US BACK (7), SPECIAL RESERVE (4), SAMS THE BEST (8), FEEL LIKE DANCIN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KASH US BACK (7) to win

RACE FOUR

IM WITH LEXY (9)
started from gate 7 over the 2138m trip last start when snagged back and settling on the pegs hoping for some luck was able to hit the line in nice style when not far away from the dead-heat winners. 4 starts back she grabbed the silver behind OUR BONDI BEACH and with little luck since that run can be in a position to strike here and is worth a ticket at odds.

IMA TOP TYCOON (6) started from gate 10 last start when taking on a qualifier and after finding running line position was working home strongly in the latter stages to grab the bronze. Only beaten a half-head behind TOMEARA 4 starts back, he is crying out to win a race when conditions suit and can be a factor here.

SPEEDIE MCARDLE (3) met a stronger line-up than this last time out when not too far away after settling in the pocket trail. He led them up from this gate 2 starts back and with the right trail has claims.

MACHIN OUT (8) will need some luck in transit from this alley as he looks set to be buried away in the run. He was tough from the breeze here on Tues when holding on for the silver behind the leader and winner IM FREE FALLING and can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: IM WITH LEXY (9), IMA TOP TYCOON (6), SPEEDIE MCARDLE (3), MACHIN OUT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: IM WITH LEXY (9) each-way

RACE FIVE

ARK PATROL (1) had been struggling to find his best since resuming from a break before finding conditions to suit he was able to claim a strong win. Quickly backing that up by claiming a hat-trick of wins, he has been unsuited from gate 7 in 2 of his past 3 starts. With the return to the ace gate he gets his chance to dictate here.

RED CHARMER (3) has been freshened since she was last seen when finishing a 3m 4th over this trip to HAPPY FEELINGS. The start prior she was never in the mix after snagging back from gate 7 to look for luck in a Rising Stars final. A winner of 10 races here at the track, she can throw down the challenge.

MAGOOGAN (6) sat in behind the speed from gate 1 here last week and then taking the passing lane was forced to split the victory with COOL SCOOTER. He was tough in the breeze 3 starts back and can roll the sleeves here to get in the fight.

HEAVENS HURRICANE (10) was sent straight to the front here over the mile last time out and once in control was able to hold on for a narrow victory. A passing lane winner over this trip 3 starts back he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: ARK PATROL (1), RED CHARMER (3), MAGOOGAN (6), HEAVENS HURRICANE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

COMPLY OR DIE (5)
had his winless streak ended last start when he never saw space after starting from the 2nd line over the 238m trip. A winner of his previous 4 starts in succession he has been in great form and with the return to the mile and a front-line gate he can be set alight to find the pegs and lead throughout.

ALWAYS MY MATE (10) is getting closer to a win in this grade and was hitting the line in good order last start to get within 5m of the winner FRANCO TARIQ. His run 2 starts back over the 2138m trip was a solid effort when 3rd to COMPLY OR DIE and finding early position can be sweeping home late.

IDEAL SITUATION (7) returns to Qld and will line up for Mitchell Dawson for the 1st time. Last seen prior to Christmas in a Menangle claimer, he should take benefit from the outing and with even luck in transit can fill the placings.

OUR MELS DREAM (6) rolled forward to face the breeze last start over the middle distance and under a strong tempo faded in the closing stages. He hit the line hard here 3 starts back over this trip and won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: COMPLY OR DIE (5), ALWAYS MY MATE (10), IDEAL SITUATION (7), OUR MELS DREAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: COMPLY OR DIE (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

MR MEDDLE (4) had been racing well without a great deal of reward until he found conditions to suit last start. With the perfect trail into the race he was able to peel wide in the stretch and finish over the top for a well-deserved win. There looks to be plenty of early tempo and pressure here and finding the right trail can look for the closing shot.

SPIKE BROMAC (5) speared out from this gate over the mile 3 starts back and once in control was never in danger when scoring in a slick mile. He closed out strongly from the 2nd line at his next start and if able to limit the early burn here will take plenty of catching.

TOMEARA (8) will be needing his share of luck from this gate but saved for a closing shot will be probing for the gaps. He took them all the way in a qualifier last start in running a career best 1.53.3 after burning hard in a 26.1 opener. If he sights space with track to work with, he can threaten.

MAKOA (3) wasn’t suited last start when locked away on the pegs from an inside 2nd line gate and with an slick tempo over the 2138m trip set from the front. His run here 3 starts back was full of merit when chasing to e 3m from LINCOLN ROAD and with his best gate for some time is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MR MEDDLE (4), SPIKE BROMAC (5), TOMEARA (8), MAKOA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-4-5-8
