RACE TWO
CRAZY SHIPPO (4) pressed on to take control from gate 2 last start and was gripping on in the stretch when just a half-head from the swooping winner. Asked to grind it out in the breeze the start prior over the 2138m trip, he can fire the early bullets here and from the front can pinch a wide-open contest. BELLA BALL TERROR (8) was beaten by the gate and the tempo last start after landing gate 10 as DEUS EX controlled it in front. He was after a hat-trick of victories in that battle after smart wins at the mile in both. Needing a rub of the green at some stage, he is up to the task if the gaps open. MISTER DIAMOND (5) has been in nice touch in recent outings, the latest when exposed early and still whacking away from the bronze behind JERADAS DELIGHT. Positioning cheaply will be key. OHOKA JIMMY (10) was a Redcliffe winner 4 starts back and since that win has been able to add another pair of 3rds, the latest when darting along the passing lane. He can be chiming in here. SELECTIONS: CRAZY SHIPPO (4), BELLA BALL TERROR (8), MISTER DIAMOND (5), OHOKA JIMMY (10) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE Just like the first two races this is another wide-open event with the barrier draw opening it right up. Hitting some good arears in recent trips, FLO RYDA (5) was a Redcliffe winner 4 starts back and his 3 runs here at The Creek have all been full of merit since. Runner-up to GLENEAGLE WARRIOR last week, he can arrive here. MORESCO (2) has speed out of the machine and likes the middle-distance trip so if she can pinch a panel or two in the early stages, she comes right into calculations. Taking them all the way over the 2138m 3 starts back, she was nailed on the wire 2 back and will offer a big challenge from this alley. CAPTAIN NEMO (12) started fav here last time out at the mile and was angled to the poles and buried. Well-beaten the start prior, at his best he is up to this, but there may just be two of him. NO DOUBT (7) has no favours from this alley, but he has been in super consistent form, hitting the board in 9 of his past 10 including from some tough draws. He can again be chiming into the money. SELECTIONS: FLO RYDA (5), MORESCO (2), CAPTAIN NEMO (12), NO DOUBT (7) SUGGESTED BET: FLO RYDA (5) to win
RACE FOUR THE GENERAL (9) is knocking on the door, finishing the runner-up at his past 3 starts and if he can remember the secret knock, this looks the race where that door may open. Charging home from deep in the pack last start behind PEPPA BLISS, he can power over the top of them. SKIPPYS DELIGHT (1) has been a beaten favourite at his past 2 starts from tougher gates than he secures here, the latest when asked to grind it out in the breeze when 5m from the winner SHADOW MINISTER. Without an Australian win and a drought dating back to August 2020, he looks to get every chance in this. CONGO LINE (2) eased to secure position last start from gate 4, he was attacking the line strongly over the closing stages to grab the silver behind the flying MAJORCA. Kept fresh, he can feature. ONYA DOUG (8) should secure an easy trip in behind the speed here and be ready to make a play when the gaps open. Closing in nice order last start for the silver, he will be probing. SELECTIONS: THE GENERAL (9), SKIPPYS DELIGHT (1), CONGO LINE (2), ONYA DOUG (8) SUGGESTED BET: THE GENERAL (9) to win
RACE FIVE A newcomer to the Graham Dwyer, LETTUCEROLL (2) arrives with wins at 2 of his past 3 starts. Taking them all the way last start at Young over the 2100m trip, he came from off the speed to score over the Wagga sprint trip 3 starts back. The stable has a super first up record with new stock, and he can add to that tally. COULDNTMISAFALCON (9) was large in defeat here last start after striking trouble soon after the start and galloping back through the pack. Only 5m in arrears of the winner after running up behind them, she can look to get the right trail through here and if close enough can throw it down. MY ULTIMATE BONDI (7) held them wide from gate 1 last start and was kept honest in front when only fading in the closing stages to be 3m from the in-form PEPPA BLISS. The gate stings but he can join in. TEE JAY CEE (5) took them all the way last start at Redcliffe after finding the ideal conditions and making full use to score an effortless 10m victory. This is another step, but he can be thereabouts. SELECTIONS: LETTUCEROLL (2), COULDNTMISAFALCON (9), MY ULTIMATE BONDI (7), TEE JAY CEE (5) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SIX ARMA VEYRON (1) has come up with the prefect conditions and the ideal gate to secure her 3rd win since arriving in Qld. Looking to take them all the way here last week, it was only a pair of talented 2YO’s that beat her home. Leading throughout over the 2138m here 2 starts back, she looks set to dictate. WHERES TASCOTT (8) was wide off the track last start when trying to make closing metres over the Redcliffe sprint trip. They were too slippery for her the start prior and with the gate to get the cosy trip in behind the speed, she can be ready to make a play when the gaps arrive. BUKTHSYSTEM (5) eased last start and from back in the pack was always facing a task as LEAP TO FAME powered over the top to score. That was successive starts he has met the talented juvenile and he looks better suited here. IFYOUBELIEVE (9) will be tightened from his latest outing when resuming from a spell. Grabbed int eh closing strides after setting the speed at Marburg, the pegs look the place to be here, and he can chime in. SELECTIONS: ARMA VEYRON (1), WHERES TASCOTT (8), BUKTHSYSTEM (5), IFYOUBELIEVE (9) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1 / 5-8-9
RACE SEVEN MATATOKI (3) was not suited off the 2nd line last start under mobile conditions and was trying to chase in the closing stages against a smart tempo from the front. The start prior he did not have the smoothest passage when coming off a 20m tape. With safe manners from 10m, he might have found his chance to score an overdue win. IM THE COMMANDO (4) is on the back-up from Tuesday where he took on the lighter assessed performers when coming from a 60m back mark and only finishing a half-neck from the winner. Runner-up 2 starts back, the small field from the 10m tape can see him throw it down here. PRINCESS FAITH (6) was sent forward under mobile conditions last start and was asked to grind it out when parked, fading in the closing stages. Too slippery from the 20m tape the start prior, she is in the mix here. KINGDOM COME (7) has the 20m tape to overcome here but the small field is in his favour as he likes to work home off the speed. Runner-up 2 starts back behind PUMA ROAD, he can be making a closing play. SELECTIONS: MATATOKI (3), IM THE COMMANDO (4), PRINCESS FAITH (6), KINGDOM COME (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE EIGHT BOURBONONTHEROCKS (9) has been in nice touch with a pair of wins and a pair of minors in her past 4 starts. Working home over the top of them last start after starting from the 20m tape, she can follow through here to secure position and look to finish them off again. GREAT FANTASY (10) could not overcome the 30m impost last start when finishing down the line. Asked to work hard the start prior from the back mark, he has started just once under mobile conditions here at The Creek and that resulted in a win. With the right trip he can look to make it 2. TAM OSHANTER (6) sat in behind the speed from gate 1 under mobile conditions last time out when trying to launch a closing raid to be 2m from SUGARINSPICE. The wide gate stings but he is right in the fight here. MISTER CHISOLM (4) stepped to the front from a 10m tape here last start and was looking to take them all the way when grabbed in the last strides. With early speed he can be in the mix. SELECTIONS: BOURBONONTHEROCKS (9), GREAT FANTASY (10), TAM OSHANTER (6), MISTER CHISOLM (4) SUGGESTED BET: BOURBONONTHEROCKS (9) to win
RACE NINE An interesting 2YO QBRED Final with two debut winners that posted similar times and margins having their 2nd start going up against more experienced rivals. YOU NO ILL BE LATE (3) was put away after his debut win where he trotted cleanly and pulled clear to post a huge 17m margin with over 100m back to 3rd. With 2 trials to prepare, he can claim this. PARIS KAY (1) made a triumphant debut for Graham Dwyer when angled off the leaders back to trot clear and post a winning margin of 16m with 77m back to 3rd. She will take good experience from that outing and with the gate to get the right trip, can look to make a play. CONFISCATED (5) has hit the board in all 5 career starts, the latest when holding 3rd, albeit well beaten behind FLASHY SEB in the Springboard Final. He can be there for the minors again. SELECTIONS: YOU NO ILL BE LATE (3), PARIS KAY (1), CONFISCATED (5) SUGGESTED BET: YOU NO ILL BE LATE (3) to win
RACE TEN It’s a match race to decide the 3YO QBRED Master which makes it a real battle of tactics but also means manners will be vital. MULLUM STEFFI (2) was slowly away in the Springboard Final but chased hard to be 12m from the winner IGNITE. A winner at both starts prior, she is likely stalking here and can finish over the top. HURRIKANE SPIRIT (1) was in super form with his manners showing huge improvement and after putting together a hat-trick of victories it has gone pear-shapes in the 2 starts since. Starting errors have cost him at his past 2 starts where he has finished at the rear. If he steps, he is likely the hunted but has the speed to grip on. SELECTIONS: MULLUM STEFFI (2), HURRIKANE SPIRIT (1) SUGGESTED BET: MULLUM STEFFI (2) to win
