RACE ONE

Another small field of 2YO’s to do battle where they will step out over the middle trip of 2138 for the first time. FATE AWAITS (3) is on debut for the Dixon stable, the colt being a nicely bred Always B Miki that trialled super impressively in readiness for his first attempt at race day.

OUR SWEET JESS (1) made her debut here last week and was supported in the market to run fav. Having a good look around and racing greenly in holding 3rd, she should take plenty of benefit from the experience.

MY ULTIMATE SASSY (2) made an error at her first appearance here last week, her chances ending before they really started. An improved effort can be expected.

SELECTIONS: FATE AWAITS (3), OUR SWEET JESS (1), MY ULTIMATE SASSY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: FATE AWAITS (3) to win

RACE TWO

Taking good benefit from his first race appearance in 11 months and just his third career starts, AGENT BLACK (2) will be second up here. After winning both 2YO outings, he released mid race here and then was only grabbed by HEAD EM UP near the wire. He can go one better.

TUMULT (9) pressed on with it here last week from the 20m tape and taking control was then able to see them off for a smart win. Fading after a tough trip in the McNeil Final two starts back, she finds the right conditions to throw down the challenge.

GLENEAGLE REIGN (7) held on for the bronze two starts back, albeit a long way from the impressive GET USED TO IT. Down the line last start, a smaller field will help his chances.

GETOVERROVER (8) has struck trouble in his three runs back this campaign, the latest when tipping the driver out after the start. If he can trot cleanly throughout, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: AGENT BLACK (2), TUMULT (9), GLENEAGLE REIGN (7), GETOVERROVER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: AGENT BLACK (2) to win

RACE THREE

Forced to take evasive action here last week, DHONI TROUBLE (11) was then a long way from them and chasing all the way. Arriving in Aus in Feb and making his first appearance at Cobram with a handy 2nd, avoiding any trouble can see him make his presence felt here.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (5) can have a line put through last week’s result, forced to stand for driver safety while the field pulled away at the start following the early carnage. Put out of it two starts back, with a safe start and settling handy, from the 10m she looms large.

NATTY PAGGER (7) was buried in the run last start and made some metres over the closing stages. An early error stung the start prior and with the right trip, he is in the mix.

HAMMER SON (8) was forced to evade the falling drivers here last week and chased hard over the latter stages to just miss the money. With the right trip, he can be closing hard again.

SELECTIONS: DHONI TROUBLE (1), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (5), NATTY PAGGER (7), HAMMER SON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DHONI TROUBLE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

A tricky maiden contest with differing form lines converging. First up after crossing the Tasman, the Chantal Turpin trained ROBYN X (2) steps out without a local trial. Last see when 3rd at Winton in the South Island, she finds a winnable race first up and stays under watch.

SKYRO DREAMZ (7) returns as a 3YO after a pair of starts last season that never went to plan. Starting deep in the red on debut off the back of a smart trial, he made an error and then struck HOT ROD HARRY second up and off the ODM embargo. He can make a play fresh.

MULLUM HANK (4) is a Changeover 3YO on debut for Darren Weeks that has done enough at the trials to suggest he can be thereabouts at his first race appearance.

JOE CAVALIER (5) has placed in four of his past five starts as he pushes toward the account opener. Making some late metres last start when 3rd to CHARGE AHEAD, he can join in.

SELECTIONS: ROBYN X (2), SKYRO DREAMZ (7), MULLUM HANK (4), JOE CAVALIER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ROBYN X (2) to win

RACE FIVE

A wide open up to NR43 event as these can sometime be, where last start winner SHEZ GOT BLING (5) is as strong a chance as anything in the line-up. Attacking the line strongly from deep field over the 2138 to claim victory at her latest appearance, she can descend on them again.

BLUE BLOODZ (7) has no favours from the carpark but is never too far from the action. With better luck he could have been closer last start and the start prior he was hitting the line strongly to be 5m astern of the winner. He can issue a challenge.

ROSARITO (9) started from the ace last start and buried in the run was making a late play to just miss the money as the smart ZENA RHAYNE BOW arrived. He can be joining in against these.

IT AINT ROYAL (1) was sent around from them from the second line at Redcliffe to sit parked and after a tough trip was not that far away. The gate is a help to his podium chances.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (5), BLUE BLOODZ (7), ROSARITO (9), IT AINT ROYAL (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Not everything has aligned this season for TAKE A CHANCE (2) who has been to the races on eight occasions but has just the three minor placings for his efforts. Strong to the line as the best chaser last start, an error ended his chances two back. Conditions look ideal to capitalise here.

BADLANDER (5) should take some benefit from his outing here on Friday where he was returning from a spell. Faced with the outside second line, he was hitting the line in nice style when producing some smart closing panels. His first attempt at the middle trip is a query.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (1) has the race experience and gate to be right in the mix here. Too far back as ZENA RHAYNE BOW kicked away last start, she claimed a gritty 3rd two back.

LULU MAE (8) tackled the 2138 last start and struggled to get into the contest. Much better suited at the mile, she will get the soft trip here and can be probing for a closing shot.

SELECTIONS: TAKE A CHANCE (2), BADLANDER (5), SHEZ ALL STYLE (1), LULU MAE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TAKE A CHANCE (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

After finally claiming a Qld breakthrough two starts back by leading all the way, BOBBY WATERHOUSE (1) was stung by the outside gate last start but still produce a tough effort in finishing 8m from the winner ALWAYS SMOKIN. He lands the gate to dictate.

MOSSDALE TERRY (6) resumes from a let up after he was last seen claiming a Golden Guitar heat at Tamworth. Opening as the fav for the Final, he was scratched and will line up here for the first time since. Winless in six attempts on this deck, he can throw it down fresh.

CLASSIC MIX UP (5) was chasing down a hat-trick of victories last start when faced with gate 7 in a strong line up. With an awkward gate, she can be thereabouts.

ARODA (7) steps out for his 4YO outing and will be chasing a hat-trick following his last start victory on ID23 final night. That was a big win in slick time, and he has the class.

SELECTIONS: BOBBY WATERHOUSE (1), MOSSDALE TERRY (6), CLASSIC MIX UP (5), ARODA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BOBBY WATERHOUSE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (7) was first up for her 3YO term here two starts back when tacking the 2138 for the first time and finishing just behind the money as the subsequent winner CHECKNOUTTHETALENT proved too slippery. Taken to Menangle second up when trying to see it out, she can strike third up.

PYRRHIC DANCER (5) has been a revelation since arriving in Qld, winning five and finishing a narrow 2nd in his six outings. Chasing a hat-trick here after a last start win from this same gate, he can work when needed which will help his chances of issuing a challenge.

MIGHTY GEORGE (8) took the trail and was able to grab the silver behind CAPTAINS PICK here two starts back. Working early last start, he will appreciate the soft trip on offer here.

SYNCHRONIZER (4) returns from a spell after a tidy 2YO term that netted three wins in six attempts. Last seen in the Triad Final, she has tuned up at the trials and can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS:  RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (7), PYRRHIC DANCER (5), MIGHTY GEORGE (8), SYNCHRONIZER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (7) to win

RACE NINE

Running up behind them with seemingly more to offer at his past two starts when not beaten far, LITTLELIONELJAMES (1) will be hoping to get the right trip here. Buried from the inside second line last start, he can be tucked in behind the speed here ready to take the closing shot.

HES SWEET (2) fired out from gate 3 to take control last start and from the front was able to see them off for a 1m margin. Runner-up the start prior at Marburg when resuming from a spell, he can look to hold on again here.

INFINITY BEACH (4) was strong off the arm to find the front and take them all the way in a mare’s event two starts back and then attacked the line strongly for 2nd last time. She is in this.

SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (10) resumes from a spell after her last start 3rd when sitting parked from gate 7 in a tough effort as BRONSKI DELIGHT arrived. With a smart record, she can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: LITTLELIONELJAMES (1), HES SWEET (2), INFINITY BEACH (4), SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLELIONELJAMES (1) to win
