RACE ONE

A string of second line gates in recent starts might just have shown that THE BEAUDEN BLUES (3) is at his best when finding the front. A Redcliffe winner six starts back when pressing on to the front, he has found it tough chasing since. Back to a good alley can see him bounce back.

R ELEVEN ART (2) faced a second line gate last start and was wide of the track when the leader ran home in sub-55, making it impossible to make any ground. Runner-up in both prior appearances with some tough efforts, he can be handy enough to challenge once again.

SPIRIT OF ARION (5) returns to Qld and joins the Thurlow stable. A winner here last year, he was chasing a hat-trick of wins two starts back in a strong Menangle 2300.

MISTER REACTOR (1) has been luckless in scoring a decent gate so should relish the opportunity to start from the ace. A winner there three back from 10, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: THE BEAUDEN BLUES (3), R ELEVEN ART (2), SPIRIT OF ARION (5), MISTER REACTOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: THE BEAUDEN BLUES (3) to win

RACE TWO

A race for the open mares that has a number of chances. BRONSKI DELIGHT (6) can continue her good season that has returned three wins and four minors in eight attempts. Making a late raid in the stretch last time when beaten a half-head, she can overcome the gate to arrive.

CLASSIC MIX UP (1) was searching for three on the bounce two starts back when beaten by gate 7 and an in-form KICKATINALONGPONY. Sitting four back in single file last start and then forced to lead the one-wide line from the 1000, back to mares only from this gate is a huge plus.

MISS MUCHO (5) fired off the arm here two starts back from gate 6 in a mare’s race and easing into the trail was just a half-head away. Not interested from gate 2 last start, she can feature here.

PLAYA BLANCA (8) rolled the sleeves and did it the tough way here two starts back with a determined win from the breeze. With an economical trip, she can join in here.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI DELIGHT (6), CLASSIC MIX UP (1), MISS MUCHO (5), PLAYA BLANCA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BRONSKI DELIGHT (6) to win

RACE THREE

The gates have not been the best for GLOVER (3) in his recent appearances, but he has still been returning some strong performances. Overcoming the second line to score a midweek win here two starts back, he hit the line in good order here last start. He finds conditions to capitalise.

PACIFICO DREAM (9) has placed at four of his past five starts, the latest when asked to sit parked and finishing 2m astern of the winner. Chasing home for the bronze behind OK BOOMER at the mile two starts back, he can be looking to issue a closing challenge.

ALWAYS SMOKIN (8) has finished in the top-two at his past four starts, the latest when pressing on to wrestle away the lead, only to be nabbed in the closing strides up the passing lane. He will be probing.

ARGYLE (4) is never too far from the action and last start was trying to wind up in the stretch when midfield behind THE TAX CULLECTOR. 3rd to BIG SHADOW two back, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: GLOVER (3), PACIFICO DREAM (9), ALWAYS SMOKIN (8), ARGYLE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GLOVER (3) to win

RACE FOUR

If you were to take SPEAK THE TRUTH (2) out of this race, it would be a very even and intriguing contest with a number of live chances in top form. However, after a super effort to hold 3rd behind LEAP TO FAME in the Miracle Mile, he slots back into this race ideally to prepare for an upcoming raid across the Tasman. Times and Margins please.

WISPER A SECRET (8) was taken to Menangle for a shot at some better races but was forced to tackle a support event where he duly saluted in slick time. A tough effort when runner-up to FOR REAL LIFE after sitting parked first up from a spell, he will be probing for open road.

HY VOLTAGE (10) has been sectionally super in recent starts, the latest when snagged off the arm from gate 7 to settle at the rear and rattle late. He can be chasing a cheque.

OK BOOMER (1) secures the gate to get the perfect trip in behind the speed and with the economics of the journey, can look to chime in late for a podium position.

SELECTIONS: SPEAK THE TRUTH (2), WISPER A SECRET (8), HY VOLTAGE (10), OK BOOMER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2 / 1-8-10 / 1-3-4-8-10

RACE FIVE

He gives away a wealth of experience to his rivals here, but KING VANCE (10) has shown that he has the ability to mix it with them. Closing hard to be just 1m from BETTING ORIGIN two starts back, an error proved costly last start. With two sharp trials since, he can cash in.

ONLYSBEST (1) was chasing a hat-trick of wins here two starts back when getting within an eyelash of victory, APOLLO DREAMZ putting in the bob right on the wire to defy the victory. Gunned down at the 2138 last start, a return to the mile is a huge plus.

JAGARA (8) was making some good metres in the closing stages last start when 3m from the winner. With the chance for a soft trip behind the speed, he can look to chime in.

HASTY BID (4) will take further benefit from his latest appearance when second up from a spell and forced to work hard in the run. With an improved trip he can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: KING VANCE (10), ONLYSBEST (1), JAGARA (8), HASTY BID (4)
SUGGESTED BET: KING VANCE (10) to win

RACE SIX

Racing in a rich vein of form, SCOTCH EN ICE (9) was far too strong for them over this trip last start when sent forward from gate 6 to sit parked and claim a 2m margin. Sizzling around the oval here three starts back when setting a 1.51.4 mile, he looks to have their measure again.

ALTA MAGACIAN (5) made the most of an improved gate to fire out of the machine, take control and then see them off with 5m to spare. That was at the middle trip they chart again here and pressing forward to settle handy can look to throw it down once again.

NURBURGRING (3) was asked to work hard in the run over the mile here two starts back when finishing 3m from the winner. Releasing last start as BIG SHADOW arrived, he has claims.

SURF ACE (4) has been sectionally super in recent starts and last time was again hitting the line strongly when chasing home THE TAX CULLECTOR. He is a podium chance here.

SELECTIONS: SCOTCH EN ICE (9), ALTA MAGACIAN (5), NURBURGRING (3), SURF ACE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SCOTCH EN ICE (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

With a brilliant standing start record that shows seven wins from a dozen attempts, TURN IT UP (6) can look to add another to that tally. Dealing in front over the mobile 2138 last start when walking them the first 800, he can find position here to chalk up another W.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (9) was safely away here last week and sitting parked was in for the fight when a game 2nd to ROCK BOTTOM. Under 2m from the winner despite the tough trip, it followed a 7m 3rd to TURN IT UP over the mobile 2138 and he can look to throw it down again.

MIRACLE MOOSE (4) was slowly off the mark here last week and was then left to chase and the tempo made it hard for those chasing. A passing lane winner two back, he can chime in here.

SEND IT (7) was sent out as fav under these same conditions last week when finishing 6m from the winner in 3rd place. Just a half-neck away here three back, he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (6), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (9), MIRACLE MOOSE (4), SEND IT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

An open mare’s qualifier with a few chances that have drawn bad and will therefore be relying on some luck to go their way. FRAYA (2) closed out for the bronze behind DANCE ADDITION last start and was only 4m from the winner two starts back. She can look to capitalise this time.

MISS EX (10) was first up in Qld last start when supported to run in red figures from gate 3 and showing no speed at all to settle at the rear. Making a sustained run wide off the track, it was a smart effort to be 4m from the winner. Seven weeks between runs looks the query.

CARLY MORGAN (3) tried to take advantage of an improved gate last start and was gripping on in the stretch, only to be collared in the closing strides. She can be thereabouts again.

ALEXIA ROSE (8) will need some luck to go her way from this alley and will be searching for a way clear. Not suited when parked last start, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: FRAYA (2), MISS EX (10), CARLY MORGAN (3), ALEXIA ROSE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: FRAYA (2) to win

RACE NINE

The debut performance of FATE AWAITS (1) here on Tuesday was an impressive performance, stepping out over the 2138, taking control and ripping home a 27.7 closing panel untroubled. He looks to have plenty of upside and from gate 1 looks to have their measure.

LIEUTENANT LOU (5) had trialled in smart fashion in readiness for his first race appearance and was duly sent to the post deep into the red. Making an error at the 1200, he was able to sort it out, reset and finish them off to score a smart victory. He looks a clear second pick.

TAKING A PUNT (3) is an Ohoka Punter colt out of Talent In Spades and has prepped with a nice trial hit out. A forward gate helps his chances.

MULLUM ARETHA (2) is a Changeover filly that has trialled in nice order for Daren Garrard and like six runners in this field, is on debut.

SELECTIONS: FATE AWAITS (1), LIEUTENANT LOU (5), TAKING A PUNT (3), MULLUM ARETHA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: FATE AWAITS (1) to win
