RACE ONE

Shuffled back in the early stages here last start, KICKATINALONGPONY (4) was strong to the line over the closing 800 in running the winner to a 2m margin. A winner at his previous three in succession, a return to the front line is a huge help.

LUVBITE (3) was beaten off the arm last start before easing off the inside to sit parked for the last 1000. Angled back to the passing lane in the stretch, he missed the money but was under 4m from the winner FIRESTORM RED. He can look to throw down the challenge.

BOBBY WATERHOUSE (9) took cover from gate 1 last time out and was able to grab the bronze behind a handy one in MOSSDALE TERRY. He has podium claims once again.

LAST TIME JOE (6) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest when darting back along the passing lane when chasing SCOTCH EN ICE. The gate stings but tempo will help.

SELECTIONS: KICKATINALONGPONY (4), LUVBITE (3), BOBBY WATERHOUSE (9), LAST TIME JOE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: KICKATINALONGPONY (4) to win

RACE TWO

Plenty of solid form to assess for this contest where a genuine tempo looks set to be generated. With that in mind, TARGARYEN (10) might be the one to power up in the closing stage. Sitting parked last start when under 2m rom the winner, he can look to descend on them.

SCOTCH EN ICE (7) has found some top form and lines up here chasing a hat-trick of victories after powering home over the top of them last start for a strong win at the 2138. A big winner when parked the start prior, the gate makes it a tough ask, but he looks up to the challenge.

ROMANEE (1) has good speed out of the machine and from this alley will be in the firring line. Beaten by the second line last start behind SPEAK THE TRUTH, he is right in the fight here.

MIRACLE MOOSE (8) darted home along the passing lane here three starts back in a slick closing panel to grab victory. With the chance of a repeat of that here, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: TARGARYEN (10), SCOTCH EN ICE (7), ROMANEE (1), MIRACLE MOOSE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TARGARYEN (10) win/place

RACE THREE

Returning right where he signed off his last campaign, MOSSDALE TERRY (3) was an impressive victor last start from gate 5. Eased in the early stages to settle back in the pack, when set free he savaged the line to score. A winner at both previous starts, the added fitness is a huge plus.

HASTY BID (9) will take further benefit from his latest outing where he was third up from a spell. Forcing the issue at the 1200 last start to go to the front for three strides before releasing KING VANCE, he held on for the silver behind that winner. Trailing through, he can chime in here.

CARTER GRANT (1) was looking for a threepeat of victories last start when working in the middle stages and finishing under 4m from the winner SCOTCH EN ICE. The improved gate is a big plus.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (8) will be tucked away and waiting for the gaps to appear. A passing lane winner at Redcliffe two starts back, he will be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: MOSSDALE TERRY (3), HASTY BID (9), CARTER GRANT (1), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MOSSDALE TERRY (3) to win

RACE FOUR

Placed in five of his eight this term, ALWAYS SMOKIN (4) was a smart winner three starts back when doing plenty of work in pressing forward to take control and then see them off. Placed in both subsequent runs, the latest when closing smartly, he can force the issue again here.

ARGYLE (1) was asked to sit parked last start at the middle trip and was in for the fight in a gritty 2nd when beaten a pimple. Chasing home from the running line behind THE TAX CULLECTOR the start prior, he lands all the options here to throw down a challenge.

ALTA MAGACIAN (2) made the most of the gate to take them all the way here two starts back with 5m up his sleeve on the wire. A tough trip scuttled his chances last start, but he can feature.

STORMTIDE (8) backs up from a smart win on Tuesday where he led throughout in slick time on a track that had seen plenty of water. Tucked away, he will be searching for space.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS SMOKIN (4), ARGYLE (1), ALTA MAGACIAN (2), STORMTIDE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE FIVE

A race with several live chances, many dependent on the early pace battle and positions. WHATA ROLLER (2) is slick out of the machine and might be able to create the space to squeeze in behind if unable to cross. In either position, he might be able to sneak home in this.

ARKIN WICKED (9) will strip fitter following his last start return where he did not receive the smoothest passage in finishing midfield behind the airborne BAZ. With the chance to stalk some speed, he can be issuing a closing challenge.

AMAMI (4) finished best to claim victory here four starts back after settling in the 1x1 trail. Placed in all three since, he was under 3m from the winner last start and can be joining in again.

PROMISING (5) was first up following the stable change last start when attacking the line strongly in the closing stages to run the winner to 4m from gate 7. He is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: WHATA ROLLER (2), ARKIN WICKED (9), AMAMI (4), PROMISING (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

An open mare’s contest where the outside gate makes it a tough ask for BRONSKI DELIGHT (7) but it is hard to fault the form she has been in. Making a late raid to share the prize last start, she was within a half-head of the winner two starts back. Tempo will aid her cause.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (9) settled in the running line from this gate last start and was trying to chime in when 6m from the joint winners. Strong to the line two starts back behind PLAYA BLANCA, she can look for the shortest way home to issue a challenge.

MISS MUCHO (6) has been a hard follow in recent weeks with a mixture of poor luck and bad gates conspiring against her. Only a half-head away three starts back, she can bob up.

PLAYA BLANCA (5) was a gritty winner here three starts back when rolling forward to sit parked and grinding out the win. Beaten by the second line at her past two, she can join in.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI DELIGHT (7), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (9), MISS MUCHO (6), PLAYA BLANCA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BRONSKI DELIGHT (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

Making the most of gate 1 with a dictating victory here four runs back, MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4) has not been too far away in all three since. Strong to the line last start for the bronze behind KING VANCE, he can get handy to capitalise in this line up.

KASH TIN (10) resumes from a spell as he steps out here at HQ for the first time. A four-time winner, he was last seen in a NSW Breeders Semi when down the line behind BETTER BE THE BEST. With a pair of smart trials in readiness, he can throw it down fresh.

ROCKNPENNY (2) could not find a close position from gate 3 last time and ended up a long way from the leader. Settling closer from this gate, he is a podium claim with the right trip.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (8) was runner-up at Redcliffe in easier company last start when chasing home ROCKSLIDE. The fence trip is his wheelhouse, and he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4), KASH TIN (10), ROCKNPENNY (2), BEEF CITY BLAZE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

Well covered in two runs back from a spell, TORQUE LIKE MOTION (3) will take the added benefit and can make the most of an improved gate. Drawn wide in both return runs and chasing home, she finds her way back to mare’s only grade and can look to capitalise.

MISS EX (2) was second up from a spell but with seven weeks between outings here last week when beaten by the tempo from outside the second line. With added fitness from the run and settling closer to the action, she can issue a challenge.

ALEXIA ROSE (1) runs the gate hard and from this alley looks set to be lighting the lamps. Gates have beaten her at the past two and with a return to this alley will have her gripping on.

MADAM MAGGGIE (8) rolled forward from outside the front-line last start and sitting parked was game in defeat behind CARLY MORGAN. The soft trip will see her searching for openings.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (3), MISS EX (2), ALEXIA ROSE (1), MADAM MAGGGIE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (3) to win

RACE NINE

Despite some differing form and results that has seen her without a win since last October, ADELLE (8) has to overcome the big 30m impost, the same mark she faced in the marathon when unable to get warm over the closing stages. With her previous form all behind the start car, she can look to turn the fortunes.

MAJESTIC LAVROS (6) was first up from a spell when tackling the mobile mile where he had the closing power to descend on them and claim a 2m margin. Fitter for that outing, he can look to find the position to issue a throwdown.

INDEFENSIBLE (1) will strip fitter from his return to the track last start when finding the front over the marathon. Fading but fighting on late, he can be in position to feature.

TAM OSHANTER (3) pressed on before taking cover last start and then made a late raid for the silver behind KINGDON COME. Placed ay his past four in succession, he is right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ADELLE (8), MAJESTIC LAVROS (6), INDEFENSIBLE (1), TAM OSHANTER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ADELLE (8) to win

RACE TEN

A tricky mare’s event to close the night where CAPTAIN OF SPEED (1) secures the chance to add another win to her tally. Facing the inside second line at three of her past four starts, she has been shuffled back on each occasion. Back to the front in this line up, she gets every hope.

ORCHID STRIDE (6) resumes from a spell after failing to show her best last campaign. Her best return was a 3rd two starts back behind APHRODITE and following a sharp trial to prep for the upcoming campaign, can look to display her best.

CARLY MORGAN (7) looked to have found the ideal conditions two starts back but was nabbed up the passing lane in the closing strides. Capitalising last start, the gate dents the repeat hopes.

VINDICATE (2) has been in super consistent form all season, hitting the board on all ten visits to the track. Runner-up her past three, she will be in the money again here.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN OF SPEED (1), ORCHID STRIDE (6), CARLY MORGAN (7), VINDICATE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN OF SPEED (1) to win
