Racing Queensland confirms that the Gold Coast Turf Club race meeting scheduled for Saturday, April 27, has been transferred to the Polytrack to allow for works to be completed on the course proper.
The change has necessitated amendments to some races and distances on the program:
- Open Handicap, 1200m, $28,000, is unaltered;
- Class 2 Handicap, 1800m, $28,000 is now Benchmark 62 Handicap, 1900m;
- Class 1 Handicap, 1200m, $28,000, is unaltered;
- Benchmark 58 Handicap, 1400m, $28,000, is now Benchmark 58 Handicap, 1540m;
- Maiden Plate (Set Weights), 1800m, $30,000, is now 1900m;
- 3YO Maiden Handicap, 1400m, $30,000, is now Maiden Plate (Set Weights) 1540m;
- 3YO Maiden Handicap, 1000m, $30,000, is now 3YO Maiden Handicap, 1050m (with QTIS Bonuses);
- Benchmark 65 Handicap, 1050m, $28,000, has been added to the program; and
- Maiden Plate (Set Weights), 1150m, $28,000, has been added to the program.
As a result, the 1200m 3YO Benchmark 68 Handicap has been deleted from the program.
