Sunshine Coast Turf Club meeting transferred to Polytrack

Racing Queensland confirms that the Sunshine Coast Turf Club race meeting scheduled for Sunday, May 5, has been transferred to the Polytrack.  

The change has been deemed necessary following the earlier announcement that the club will now host the Hollindale Stakes Race Meeting on its course proper on Saturday, May 11.

The change has necessitated amendments to some races and distances on the program and accordingly it now comprises:

  • Class 4 Handicap - 1000m ($28,000) is unchanged;
  • Class 3 Plate - 1400m ($28,000) is unchanged;
  • Class 2 Handicap - 1200m ($28,000) is now an 1100m Benchmark 55 Handicap;
  • Benchmark 62 Handicap - 1800m ($28,000) is now 2000m;
  • Benchmark 62 Handicap - 1000m ($28,000) is unchanged;
  • Maiden Plate (Set Weights) - 1800m ($30,000) is now 1400m;
  • 3YO Benchmark 65 Handicap - 1000m ($28,000) is unchanged;
  • 2YO Maiden Plate (Set Weights) - 1000m ($30,000) is unchanged; and
  • Maiden Plate (Set Weights) - 1100m ($30,000) has been added to the program.
