RACE TWO

HAMMERTIME HARLEY (1) will be making her 4th appearance since arriving in Qld and lands her best gate to date. Trying to work into the contest after starting from the 2nd line last time, she was asked to rind it out when parked 2 back. With the benefit of the gate, she secures the chance to dictate.

LANOCH BOY (2) has been sectionally super in recent outings but just falling short on each occasion. Hitting the line hard here 2 starts back when beaten a pimple, he snagged back from gate 5 last week before again finding the line in fine fashion. The improved gate is a big plus to his chances.

BOLTA (5) makes his first appearance in Qld with his past 2 in far stronger races at Menangle. Provided he can handle The Triangle, he stays under a big watch back to this grade.

FLO RYDA (4) eased from gate 6 here 2 starts back at the sprint trip before swooping hard down the outside to arrive for a smart drought breaking win. Only a neck away last time after making a closing dive, he is in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: HAMMERTIME HARLEY (1), LANOCH BOY (2), BOLTA (5), FLO RYDA (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

MISTER COLE (3)
retreated when the barrier released the field last start to secure position at the rear of the pack. Still with it all to do before they swung for home, he was hitting dead-ends in running up behind them. With a strong of bad gates owing to a barrier embargo, he finds the right race to bounce back.

WHATTA GOOD REASON (4) was sent to the post as favourite last start over the sprint trip when sent forward to sit parked from the 2nd line. Grinding it out, he was fighting to the wire when only a half-head in arrears of the winner. He may need to roll the sleeves again here but looks up to the challenge.

BONDI SHAKE (9) has been in great touch and last start completed the hat-trick of victories, all over the sprint trip. His record here at Redcliffe is sharp, however the middle trip is the query.

MISS VICTORIA (8) started from gate 1 last start but did not have the hustle to hold the poles so was angled off to stare down the leader from the breeze. Too strong in claiming the prize, she looks right in the fight again here.

SELECTIONS: MISTER COLE (3), WHATTA GOOD REASON (4), BONDI SHAKE (9), MISS VICTORIA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER COLE (3) to win

RACE FOUR

CANNAN (8)
shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins on the two-day back-up here last week. Powering over the top of them to claim the prize on Monday, he took them all the way on Wednesday. From this gate with the right early trail, he can be ready to descend on them again.

TRACER BULLET (7) was stepping out in Qld for the first time when starting in red figures from gate 1 here last week. Taking control in the early stages, he could not finish them off and had to settle for the bronze. Taking benefit from the run, he will be probing for a way clear to challenge.

FAIREACHDAINN (1) was sent to the post as fav last start and from the 2nd line pressed through early to sit parked. Unable to finish it off, it followed a 4m 2nd here and from this gate should get the ideal trip.

RANCHO MAN (3) has good hustle out of the machine and from this gate can fire the early bullets. Working home in the closing stages to grab the bronze last start when returning from a freshen, his winless record on this track is of concern.

SELECTIONS: CANNAN (8), TRACER BULLET (7), FAIREACHDAINN (1), RANCHO MAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8

RACE FIVE

ALTANA BLUE (9) secured a trail in the early stages last start but could not go on with it as THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER found the space to dart through and claim the prize. Pressing on to sit parked here 2 starts back in scoring a gritty win, he finds a winnable race here despite the gate.

TORQUE IN CONTROL (2) has not had much in landing a marble in recent starts and should appreciate the tighter alley here. Obliged to hang tough when sitting parked last start, she was wide off the track when chasing in a stronger AP mile contest the start prior. From the gate she can throw it down.

PACIFIC COIN (5) settled back in the pack from the 2nd line last time out and was looking to make a closing play when 1m from the prize and subsequent winner MONTANA FLASH. The gate stings but he can chime in.

NON PASSARE (4) found the 1x1 trail last start and with the right trip had the closing power to finish over the top of them. Finishing best 3 starts back to score, limiting the early work are key to his hopes.

SELECTIONS: ALTANA BLUE (9), TORQUE IN CONTROL (2), PACIFIC COIN (5), NON PASSARE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ALTANA BLUE (9) to win

RACE SIX

COBBITY CASTLE (9)
has hit the board in all 7 appearances here at the Peninsula, the latest when grafting out a smart win after sitting parked. Pressing ahead from gate 6, she was too strong in claiming an expanding 11m victory. A mid-race move could be the play here and she looks too strong again.

BARBOO (5) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon away from the poles looking to work into the contest but was forced to retreat. A winner 2 starts back when taking them all the way, he has no favours from this gate but finds a winnable contest to make a challenge.

GHOST GUM (2) eased from the six-hole last start to find position before making some nice metres over the closing stages after they broke free at the front. Placed his previous 3 in succession, he brings up start 300 and has the gate to feature.

LITTLEDEE (8) has been in nice touch with 3 wins in her past 5 outings. Wide off the track from gate 5 last start, she was able to sustain the trip to arrive for a narrow victory. Pressing through early can see her thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: COBBITY CASTLE (9), BARBOO (5), GHOST GUM (2), LITTLEDEE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: COBBITY CASTLE (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (2)
went on with it last start to find the front in a strong opening panel. In for the fight over the closing stages when 2m in arrears of the winner, he can look to find the front cheaply here and in control can fight them off in the stretch.

CALL ME DIVA (8) was angled away from the pegs here last week and sent to sit up outside the leader early before receiving cover. Making a closing play in the stretch, she was only a nostril from the prize in a tight go. With the right trail in the early stages, she will throw it down again.

PIPPA MAGUIRE (4) is the query runner lining up for Qld for Ron Sallis for the first time. A Penrith winner in October last year and then sent for a break, she has been given 2 Menangle starts since resuming. She stays under watch.

PRESS STATEMENT (9) started from inside the 2nd line last start at The Creek and using the passing lane grabbed the bronze behind LADY AVANA. 2 from 2 here at The Triangle, he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (2), CALL ME DIVA (8), PIPPA MAGUIRE (4), PRESS STATEMENT (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

MIDNIGHT QUEEN (8)
eased into the 1x1 last start and then tried to make a closing raid when grabbing the silver behind COBBITY CASTLE. Not suited when asked to sit parked the start prior, she finds a wide-open contest here and can make a swooping challenge.

ELLE JAY (4) eased from this gate last start to sit back in the pack before trying to make a closing rally but could not go with them as all the action was up front. Forced to work hard in the run when grabbing the silver 3 starts back over the AP mile, pressing forward looks the play to challenge here.

WHATA REACTOR (9) made an early error and then could not warm up as ARMA VEYRON kicked clear and broke the field apart here last start. Runner-up 2 back when sent to the breeze from this gate, she is in the mix.

MUSTANG DUDE (1) set the tempo at Marburg 2 starts back and dialling it up through a slick 28.1 through the third split was unable to finish it off. Working hard last start, he has all the options to feature from this alley.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT QUEEN (8), ELLE JAY (4), WHATA REACTOR (9), MUSTANG DUDE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

GAME KEEPER (1) tried to take them all the way over the AP mile 3 starts back and was gripping on when claiming the silver behind SO MUCH MORE. Wide gates have not suited at his past 2 yet he still worked home soundly here 2 starts back. With all the favours from this gate, he can open the account at start 29.

LIL MISS BREEZY (3) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start but could not go with them in the closing stages. Only a half-neck away here 2 starts back from gate 8 when settling in the 1x1 trail, she can look to settle handy to the action to make the closing challenge.

MISTER ROCKTOBER (7) will be relying on some factors in his favour but following a good beginner if he can settle leaders back, his chances will improve greatly. 3 back on the inside last start when grabbing the bronze and finishing 6m in arrears, he will be probing.

REDUCED TO ASHES (8) was asked to graft it out when sitting parked last start and despite taking some encouragement on the home turn, was coming again once he straightened to get within a neck of the winner. He is podium hope once more.

SELECTIONS: GAME KEEPER (1), LIL MISS BREEZY (3), MISTER ROCKTOBER (7), REDUCED TO ASHES (8),
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8
