RACE TWO

The first of two heats of the Jim McNeil Series will see capacity fields in each in what is arguably the strongest series since its inception. MAJESTIC HARRY (11) has had this series on his radar and had two tightening trials in readiness. Impressive in two wins since crossing the Tasman, he is up to it.

FATHER CHRISTMAS (14) has placed at his past four starts in succession, the latest from the 50m tape when starting favourite and finishing 7m from subsequent winner MELPARK MAGIC. A beaten fav at his past two starts, he must negotiate the extreme alley but is up to the challenge.

SOBOMBA (13) heads North for this series and will be third up into this race from a spell. Just 7m from the winner when resuming over the Menangle 2300m, he can look to weave a passage.

RILEY MOMENT (3) makes her first Qld appearance, arriving as a two-time winner, that last win coming back in October with clean tape manners. With a tidy trial, she can be close to the action.

RACE THREE

TICK OF THE CLOCK (2)
has been in super touch since resuming from a spell and lines up here with three wins in hi past five outings. Taking them all the way from gate 1 last start over the mile, he lands the ideal conditions once again and it looks a case of rinse and repeat.

LOOKS JUST RIGHT (8) settled in the 1x1 trail here two starts back where the perfect trip saw him ready to make the closing shot a winning one. Pressing on to find the front last start, he tried to fight off the challengers but had to settle for 3rd. Hemmed away here, he will be searching for openings.

MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (9) angled to the poles from the second line at Redcliffe last time out before making late ground to grab 3rd. Finishing his races off nicely in recent outings, he can chime in.

KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (6) was a winner here four starts back when pressing on from gate 5. Following that with a minor placing, he faded last start but can be sharper in this line up.

RACE FOUR

The second of the McNeil heats and again a full front tape will mean manners to take early position will be vital. Joining the Butler stable, MIKEMARO (3) arrives a five-time winner, his last start at nelson when beaten a half-neck. With a smart local trial to prepare, he can look for maximum points.

RIGONDEAUX (12) is a last start winner where he was sent forward from the 20m tape to take control and from the front was never in danger thereafter, running smart time with the victory. Impressive in a trial hit out since that win, if he can battle traffic, he can throw down a challenge.

REGAL APPOINTMENT (1) was last seen back in December back in NZ where he was a winner over the 2400m on the grass at Methven. With a pair of trials, he can be in the right position to feature.

PRINCESS FAITH (13) is a six-time winner on this track and will be resuming from a spell here. Closing out smartly in a recent trial, look for her chiming in over the closing stages.

RACE FIVE

Edging closer to a victory after placings in five his past eight appearances, SIGNOR JUJON (3) might just have found the conditions to arrive. Sent forward from the second line to sit parked last start, he grafted out a smart 2nd placing. Pressing the issue from the gate, he can take his hot.

BATTLECRAFT (5) has been runner-up at his past three in succession, the latest when trying to take them all the way over the Redcliffe 2040m. Grabbed on the wire when beaten a head, he is unplaced in both outings on this deck but can look to mount a challenge.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1) has faced some wide gates at her past three starts, the latest when rolling forward to sit parked before fading over the closing stages. With the options, she can feature.

BULLDOG BRAWLER (6) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when buried in the run where he could have been closer if the gaps opened sooner. The gate stings hi chances.

RACE SIX

Finishing 2021 with a 2nd placing when beaten 1m, 2022 has been kind for CHARLEVOIX (7) with three wins in his four starts. Firing off the arm to take control last start from gate 3, he took them all the way, defeating subsequent winner CROSSED LEGS. The gate stings but he looks up to the task.

RANCHO MAN (3) was a winner here five runs back when making full use of the inside alley to hold the front and take them all the way. Placed at his next three in succession, he was not suited last time when buried in the run from inside the back row. With early speed, he can fight hard if in front.

WHATELEY (10) was in search of four in the bounce last start when finishing midfield behind the flying RING THE TILL. Overcoming gate 6 here two starts back, he can be chiming in late.

ULAANBAATAR (5) has been costly after going under as the fav at her past two outings, the latest when holding 3rd behind RANCHO MAN. Freshened since that outing, she is a podium hope.

RACE EIGHT

A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (1)
was a winner here four starts back when sent to the front over this trip and once in control was a comfortable victor. Settling back in the pack in all three runs since that win, she lands the opportunity to use her gate speed and at her best in front prove tough to crack.

MI FURIOSO TORO (8) will be looking to remain undefeated since arriving in Qld after going back-to-back here last time out. Pressing on from gate 5 to take up the running, he was never in danger when pulling clear in a new PB mile with a 13m margin on the wire. He will be ready to charge.

LETTUCEROLL (10) was a winner over this trip four starts back when easing from gate 7 before powering home over the top to a smart win. Spelled since that win, he can be tighter after two runs back.

ROCK IT BABY (9) can dart down to the markers from this alley and look for the short way home. Holding on to 4th behind JIGAMAROO from the fence last start, he is a podium hope.

RACE NINE

Stripping fitter following his first appearance in Qld here last time out, HY VOLTAGE (4) should appreciate this level following his run in a qualifier first up. Forced to it parked, he could not cope and wilted. At his best in front, he can press on here and in control can gain redemption.

CHARM OFFENSIVE (1) eased from gate 6 in a second division mare’s qualifier here two starts back before swooping late to claim the prize. Starting inside the second line at Redcliffe last start and angled off the poles early when 3rd to CONVAIR HUSTLER, she can enjoy the cosy ride here.

MISTER HART (3) was locked away here last week over the 2138m and found the space at the top of the stretch to descend on them and claim victory. Runner-up from gate 6 the start prior, he can feature.

BOMB SUIT (9) angled to the pegs from gate 3 last time out and with the easy trip in behind the speed held on for 3rd behind ZHUKOV LEIS. Back to this grade he is a podium player.
