RACE TWO

MISSINMEMATE (8) settled in the 1x1 trail from the front-line last start and when asked to make the effort, packed too many guns to cruise home to a 3m victory over the 2040m trip. That followed a sound effort behind WHICH HUNT and 3 back held the bronze behind PACIFIC DRUMS. With the right trail through, he can arrive once again.

MISS GIULIETTA (1) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts, the latest when taking the trail and chasing hard to be 2m in arrears of LOOKS JUST RIGHT. Weaving a passage here 2 starts back when within 3.5m of the winner, she will get the cosy trip and be looking to issue a passing lane challenge.

LIBERAL ARDEN (5) will take some benefit from his latest start when taking on a stronger AP field 1st up in Qld. Snagged back from gate 7 and facing a task, with even luck he can be an improver in this.

LOOKS JUST RIGHT (2) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins at this trip. Both wins have been when leading throughout and despite rising in class here, he has the gate to fire the 1st shot again.

SELECTIONS: MISSINMEMATE (8), MISS GIULIETTA (1), LIBERAL ARDEN (4), LOOKS JUST RIGHT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MISSINMEMATE (8) to win

RACE THREE

FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (3)
made a successful start to his Qld career when proving too strong in the breeze and powering home a strong closing half to break his maiden in fine style. His previous 2 starts before arriving in Qld had merit from tough gates and he gets the chance for the repeat.

BLACKJEWEL (1) had raced in the trail from this gate in successive starts, finishing on the podium in the minor position at each outing over this trip. Last start, again from the ace, they looked to dictate and leading into the stretch was collared late to again be placed. Another placing looks imminent.

GETALOADATHISGIRL (7) shoots for the hat-trick as she looks to remain undefeated in Qld. A 1st u winner from the front, she followed that with a swooping win from the 2nd line. She will be probing for openings in search of the threepeat.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (8) didn’t have much go his way last start when looking for openings that didn’t arrive in time. Closing for the bronze here 2 starts back, he has early options and can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (3), BLACKJEWEL (1), GETALOADATHISGIRL (7), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8

RACE FOUR

The 1st heat of the Garrards Redcliffe Yearling Sales Series where JUSTA LITTLE BIT (5) has the wide gate to negotiate. A smart winner on debut when setting the tempo over the AP mile when sent to the front, he followed that with a narrow 2nd to BIG WHEELS in the Breeders Final after emerging from the pack. He looks to have the class edge on his rivals here.

SHES MISS DEVINE (1) was sent to the post as fav last start from gate 5 but could only manage to finish 6m in deficit from the smart looking SWEET LOMBO. Taking them all the way over the AP mile 3 starts back for a nice maiden breaking win, she followed that with a 4m margin in the Breeders Fillies Final. The gate is a big plus here.

DYNAMIC DAN (8) has been kept fresh since the Breeders where he was mid-field and 8m in arrears of BIG WHEELS after being locked down on the poles. With experience here on the triangle, he can chime in.

DATSINAHURRI (4) will have her 1st race outing on her home training track following 2 career starts at headquarters. Gunned down after setting the tempo from gate 1 last start, she is a podium chance.

SELECTIONS: JUSTA LITTLE BIT (5), SHES MISS DEVINE (1), DYNAMIC DAN (8), DATSINAHURRI (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTA LITTLE BIT (5) to win

RACE FIVE

GOVERNOR JUJON (6)
may have been stung by the wide gate, however the star colt should be far too classy for his opponents here. Away from the inside early and sent to the breeze soon after, he was dominant in scoring untouched by 4m in strong time in the prelude to make it 4 successive wins back in Qld since the NSW Derby. Looks a case of by how far.

GLENAEGLE WARRIOR (3) looked well-placed to lead the cavalry against the Governor and was sent forward from gate 6 attempting to stay in front. However, when the heat was applied in the closing stages, he had no answer. Better suited now the ODM embargo has been removed, he will again be attempting to maintain the forward advantage to attempt an uprising.

SIR JUJON (1) was a winner here 2 starts back when finishing strongly after being locked on the pegs in transit and finishing hard to arrive. 3rd in the Prelude after getting forward early, he will get the cosy trip to make a closing play.

WHICH HUNT (2) eased from gate 5 in the Prelude to settle back in the pack and when asked for the effort was closing strongly to grab the silver. Too strong in front here 2 starts back, she can be chiming in again.

SELECTIONS: GOVERNOR JUJON (6), GLENAEGLE WARRIOR (3), SIR JUJON (1), WHICH HUNT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR JUJON (1) to place

RACE SIX

Heats for this Final were held 9 days back with the top 4 from each progressing to this. In a strong field that looks an open contest, MAFFIOSO GIRL (1) can look to take full advantage of this marble. Closing nicely in her heat from back in the pack when 7m in arrears, it had followed successive outings from the 2nd line. With the options, the Dames look to hold the advantage.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3) made the most of an improved gate last start when showing the speed to find the pegs prior to releasing. Making the passing lane shot a wining one, she secured her 3rd win from her past 4 starts in the process. Settling close to the action, she will be right in the fight.

GOLIGHTLY (5) eased from gate 6 in his heat and was really finding the line strongly to be within 1m of the winner SHOWEM SIMON. The gate stings, but with even luck, he can challenge for the prize.

SIGNORINA JUJON (2) has been runner-u at her past 3 in succession, the latest a tough effort when facing the breeze and only 2m from NEWMERELLA LADYKAY. She will not be far away.

SELECTIONS: MAFFIOSO GIRL (1), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3), GOLIGHTLY (5), SIGNORINA JUJON (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

ALBION ARK (4)
went to the breeze last start over the 2138m and sitting outside GOOD AS IT GETS, could not go with him and under the tough run faded to finish down the line. He couldn’t match the power of WILL THE WIZARD the start prior, but back to this grade and on the Triangle where he is 1 from 1, he can look to bounce back to winning form.

TOANUI SPIRIT (8) has been in great touch here at Redcliffe with 3 wins and finishing in 2nd on a further 4 occasions in her 10 attempts at the track. Making the most of the gate last start, she took them all the way, ripping home a sharp 27.8 closing panel. Better suited in front, she can still challenge.

REDS GOOD TO GO (7) did it the tough way last start over the AP mile when rolling the sleeves outside the leader and winner SOHO TSUNAMI. Needing some luck from this gate, he can probe for the openings.

GWENDALION (3) is 2 for 2 since arriving in Qld, joining the in-form Dan Russell barn. A passing lane winner last start, this is a tougher test, but she can be thereabouts with even luck in transit.

SELECTIONS: ALBION ARK (4), TOANUI SPIRIT (8), REDS GOOD TO GO (7), GWENDALION (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ALBION ARK (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

Heat 2 for the 2YO’s looks a clash between the widest drawn. Leaning to SWEET LOMBO (5) purely because he has the Redcliffe experience which can prove invaluable when the pressure goes on. Finishing over the top to a smart win last start, his debut win here was smart when ripping home a sub 28 closer.

MANILA PLAYBOY (6) franked some handy trial form when landing a dominant win on debut, clearing out to claim a 10m victory. Sent out fav for the Breeders Final, it all conspired against him, firstly with gate 11 and then having to go wide down the back prior to making an error. Trialling here in readiness of traversing the triangle, he will be throwing it down.

BAILEYS WITH LEGS (2) is nearing a win after finishing as the runner-up at her past 2 in succession. Doing it the tough way last start when cutting the breeze and only beaten a head, she can fire the early shot.

ALEX TEE (8) was a debut winner here when hitting the line strongly in the closing stages after an easy run in transit. Using the passing lane last start when 8m in arrears of SWEET LOMBO, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: SWEET LOMBO (5), MANILA PLAYBOY (6), BAILEYS WITH LEGS (2), ALEX TEE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET LOMBO (5) to win

RACE NINE

GLITTER STRIP (6) has the wide gate to negotiate, yet he looks to have the class to overcome the impediment. Starting inside the 2nd line last start and was soon away from the inside to find the running line. Hitting the line strongly in a sharp closing 800m, he was 8m from WHATTA GOOD REASON. 3rd in the Breeders to BIG WHEELS, he can cash-in here.

NICKS PICK (8) has been to the track 5 times and been able to place on 3 occasions, the latest when 5m from the winner JUSTA LITTLE BIT. Closing nicely on debut, he was runner-up when 4m shy of the winner UNCLE SHANK. With a preparatory trial here at the Peninsula, look for him swooping.

JOY TO ALL (2) is a full-sister to the star 3YO JIGGLE AND JIVE and comes up with her best gate to date at her 3rd career start. 3rd on debut, she can be around the money here.

MELTON INSULTED (1) released the speed from this gate last start and with the good trip in behind the speed held on for the bronze. Slowly staring to show some improvement, the gate helps here.

SELECTIONS: GLITTER STRIP (6), NICKS PICK (8), JOY TO ALL (2), MELTON INSULTED (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

In a race where the 2040m might be sorting a few of these out, if MANOFLISA (7) can get the space when required, he might just make the closing shot a winning one. Shooting for a hat-trick last start, he was far from suited when forced to face the breeze. Swooping late his previous 2 starts, he is worth a ticket.

PERFECT FEELING (5) had the speed to find the lead from gate 4 last start over the sprint trip and once in control was able to cruise to a 6m victory in running a new career benchmark. Beaten by the gate when locked away the start prior, the 2040m is the concern here.

GLENCOE REIGN (3) held the front from gate 1 last start over the AP mile but couldn’t see it out when 10m from the winner ELZBOY. Beaten in red figures when 1st up in Qld, he is a podium chance here.

IM SANDY BAY (6) was working home wide off the track last start and arrived on the line to claim a half-head victory. The distance is a query but limiting the mid-race pressure can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MANOFLISA (7), PERFECT FEELING (5), GLENCOE REIGN (3), IM SANDY BAY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MANOFLISA (7) win/place (1x4)
