RACE ONE

He moves back to the 10m tape courtesy of his first up victory, but it is hard not to be captivated by that debut performance by RAZZLEME DAZZLEME (5). When angled into space he attacked the line in great fashion to arrive in the last stride with a crazy fast individual 800m split. He can repeat.

SUSAN IS HER NAME (6) was also a winner on debut when taking a 4m margin to claim victory in smart fashion. She had trialled in good order leading into the debut outing and with the added experience can make her presence felt from the 10m tape.

HOLD MY HAT DOUG (3) was safely into stride to set the speed last start and took them deep into the stretch, only to be denied on the wire. He made an error in debut and can feature again.

VENUS LOVE (2) made an error at her first appearance and was chasing all the way, yet never shirked the task to be just 7m from the winner. Experience can help her chances this time.

SELECTIONS: RAZZLEME DAZZLEME (5), SUSAN IS HER NAME (6), HOLD MY HAT DOUG (3), VENUS LOVE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: RAZZLEME DAZZLEME (5) to win

RACE TWO

With a break of five weeks between starts, MAJESTIC SPEED (7) should take benefit from her last outing where she chased gamely to grab 4th in a big field after making a slight error when the field was released. Hitting the line strongly three starts back to grab 3rd, this looks within reach.

SHEZA CHANCE (1) made a mess of the start last time out and her chances had expired within the opening 200m of the event. Breaking the maiden status two starts back when safely into stride and able to dictate in front, if she can get off the tapes cleanly, the front tape advantage will be crucial.

CARNERA (8) continue to hunt his first win of the year and again will need to overcome the 30m after he has been down the line behind GLOBAL FLIGHT in each of his past two. He is a place hope.

DOWN UNDER RORS (9) was a winner from the 20m tape here five runs back but since that victory, not much has been in his favour, including some errors. Manners and luck can see a better display.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SPEED (7), SHEZA CHANCE (1), CARNERA (8), DOWN UNDER RORS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SPEED (7) to win

RACE THREE

HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (5)
finally put it all together here last start from the mobile conditions when burrowing through from gate 1 to lead and take them all the way. Doing plenty of work in the run here two starts back when fading to midfield, if she can press on early, she can go back-to-back.

RIGONDEAUX (8) was big in defeat here three runs back after making a critical error and followed that with a tough effort from the mobile when sitting parked from a wide gate. With a safe getaway here last time, he was in front and held them off to claim victory. He can dodge the early traffic.

JANSSON (7) didn’t handover when challenged two starts back in his normal pattern and from the front could not finish it off. He tackled a mobile last start and back to the tapes can feature in this.

GUNNER (2) settled in the 1x1 trail from the front tape last start and was making a closing raid when under 2m from the winner. Placed in 2 of 4 for his Qld campaign, he can feature from the good lane.

SELECTIONS: HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (5), RIGONDEAUX (8), JANSSON (7), GUNNER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Placed in four of her five career starts, SHORT LEG SUE (1) comes up with the inside gate once again. Leading off the arm in her past two starts, she has taken a seat and then chased to be 1m in arrears in 2nd place on each occasion. Can this be the day for the breakthrough.

MISTER DOMINGO (8) was asked to do it the tough way when parked at Redcliffe last start and despite the tough trip, he fought hard to be under 3m from the winner REDS STAR DEAL and hold on for the silver. Chasing when not too far from ODINS BLACK CROWS two back, he can search for the gaps.

CARTER GRANT (6) was sent to the post as the fav here last time out from gate 4 and after showing early hustle, released the speed but then could not pick up late and took 2nd. He is in the mix again.

MIKI MAGIC (7) has placed at both career appearances, the latest when sent forward to sit parked from this same gate and fighting hard to hold 3rd. Only a head in arrears on debut, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: SHORT LEG SUE (1), MISTER DOMINGO (8), CARTER GRANT (6), MIKI MAGIC (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

The money kept rolling in for BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (4) last start where he was making his Qld debut from gate 1 over the 2138m. Driving through to keep them wide, he jumped the shadow of the light tower at the end of the home straight and ended his chances. He can look to atone.

SOHO CASABLANCA (6) has clashed with some impressive 3YOs at all six starts this season and not had much luck with barriers either. The winners he has chased have been TEDDY DISCO, TIMS A TROOPER twice and SPEAK THE TRUTH twice and despite the wide gate, he can challenge fresh.

BETTING ORIGIN (10) has placed at his past three starts, the latest at Redcliffe when starting from outside the second line and chasing hard for the silver behind the big winner SUGAR FOR MY HONEY. Making late metres for the bronze behind BORSELLINO two starts back, he can be joining in here.

PRESS STATEMENT (9) resumes from a spell after featuring in a barn switch during his break to join the Doug Wilson yard. Impressing in a recent trial in readiness for the return, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (4), SOHO CASABLANCA (6), BETTING ORIGIN (10), PRESS STATEMENT (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

There looks to be an abundance of front-line speed in this contest and with the tempo looking set to be hot, MAYWYNS COURAGE (9) looks best placed to swoop. Resuming from a let up with a 3rd when 5m from MOHS EM DOWN after being buried in the run, he can launch the closing raid.

LETS KATCHMEIFUCAN (1) will appreciate this gate from the mobile after retreating from gate 7 last time out to secure position. Making good metres in the closing stages to be just behind the placegetters, the improved gate is a huge plus and he has the options to capitalise.

KEY LARGO (4) has now had two runs back from a spell and been forced to do it tough in both appearances. Moving to gate 4, he can look to muster the early speed to get across and improve.

FRANCO HAMPTON (5) was runner-up two runs back at the mile when making a late challenge from a second line barrier. A beaten fav last start, he can be up near the action to make a play.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYNS COURAGE (9), LETS KATCHMEIFUCAN (1), KEY LARGO (4), FRANCO HAMPTON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYNS COURAGE (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

ITZ MAJOR RICH (3) should take benefit from his last start where he was first up in six weeks and tackled a 70 Heat where SLIP THE HUNDY proved too slippery. His four runs back this season have been below what he displayed in his 3YO term, but he finds conditions here to turn it around.

FLYING ART (6) started from inside the second line last time out where he was able to hold on for 3rd behind a pair of handy 3YOs in DANGERZONE and COVER GIRL. Chasing all the way two starts back as HY VOLTAGE amped it up in front, he can do the work if needed to issue the challenge.

ONE BIG SHEW (10) eased from gate 6 to secure position last start before charging home wide off the track and hitting the line smartly. He has no favours again from 10 but can join in late.

DUKKAH (7) settled in the pocket trail from gate 1 over the Bathurst 2260m last time out and held on for the silver behind LOUIE THE PUNTER. The gate stings, but he can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: ITZ MAJOR RICH (3), FLYING ART (6), ONE BIG SHEW (10), DUKKAH (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

In a tough race to dissect, COPPERFIELD (9) might be the one to secure the right trip and issue the closing play. A winner here three starts back when finding the front and taking them all the way over this trip, he has been midfield in two runs at the mile since. SLIP THE HUNDY was too slick last start, and he can arrive in an open contest.

BE MY ROCK (5) is still searching for his first Qld victory that looks to be getting closer after placing in three of his past four starts. Using the passing lane last time for the bronze behind the dictating SLIP THE HUNDY, it followed a 2m margin to the flying CLASSIE WASHINGTON.

PARAMA (1) settled in the running line at Redcliffe last start and was making late metres when under 3m from the winner MUMMYS BOY. Midfield in both starts prior, the inside gate is a plus.

AUNTY BELLA (8) was a tough winner at this journey when sitting parked here four runs back, but not much has gone her way this campaign. Closing out strongly at Redcliffe last start when beaten a head, she will be searching for open road.

SELECTIONS: COPPERFIELD (9), BE MY ROCK (5), PARAMA (1), AUNTY BELLA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: COPPERFIELD (9) to win

RACE TEN

After two runs in Qld where he has been a beaten favourite on both occasions, MR IBIZA (1) lands the conditions to get on the board. Not comfortable first up in a strong 3YO race, he was 8m in arrears as MI FURIOSO TORO dictated in front last time. He can atone.

MY ULTIMATE BILLY (4) resumes from a spell and makes his first Qld appearance, arriving for Jarrod Alchin as the winner at five of his nine career attempts. A Newcastle winner two runs ago, back in March with 12m to spare, he has had a pair of trials to prepare and can challenge fresh.

NOR WESTA (8) looks set to enjoy the easy trip in behind the action here and be ready to make a podium play when the gaps arrive. Taking on mare’s qualifiers in all three starts since arriving with Charlie Cini, she will be probing.

ALWAYS THUNDER (9) was a beaten fav last start over the 2260m at Bathurst, when finishing 6m in arrears of the winner. Runner-up two runs back to INFINITY BEACH, he can join in here.

SELECTIONS: MR IBIZA (1), MY ULTIMATE BILLY (4), NOR WESTA (8), ALWAYS THUNDER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-8-9
