RACE ONE

IM FREYJA (7) will be relying on some factors in her favour from this gate as she makes her first appearance for the Matt Craven stable. Buried in the run from inside the second line at Tamworth last start, she follows a fast beginner and with a tidy trial to prepare, can strike first up for Craven.

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (8) has hit the board in his past four starts in succession, the latest when charging home from back in the pack at Marburg to be within a pimple of the prize. Buried away here two starts back and making late metres for 3rd, he can be joining in to challenge.

LEFT IN THE WIND (5) started from the second line at Marburg at her most recent appearance and was making some ground in the closing stages for the bronze. Pressing ahead, she can feature.

BERTILS FIREFOX (1) has been in the money in 4 of his past 5, the latest from gate 2 when finding the front before releasing. A nice effort two runs back, he has the gate to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: IM FREYJA (7), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (8), LEFT IN THE WIND (5), BERTILS FIREFOX (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-7-8

RACE TWO

CRAFTY MATCH (4) takes his first look at Redcliffe for the visiting David Druitt barn, arriving with a last start 3rd at Wagga when collared in the closing stages. Setting the tempo over the 1740m trip, he tried to put it out of reach with a sub 28 third split but was collared. This looks within reach first up.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1) set the speed from gate 2 last time out but after an even opening half, he was unable to finish it off and wilted to the rear. Taking them all the way over the 2040m here two starts back, he will be trying to hustle through to issue the challenge.

JANG PEL (7) was resuming from a spell last start and shooting for a hat-trick when tackling the Showcase B Final and after a tough trip was just a neck adrift of the winner. He will be probing here.

BATMAN BART (3) completed a hat-rick of victories three starts back and has faced wide gates at his next two attempts where he has been forced to work hard in the run. Finding the fence will help.

SELECTIONS: CRAFTY MATCH (4), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1), JANG PEL (7), BATMAN BART (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

TEE RAVELLING (6)
has the outside gate owing to his starting manners and last time out was sent forward off the arm but forced to hang tough outside the leader. Fighting gamely to be just 5m in arrears of the winner, he can get across to the front here and in front will take stopping.

SHADYS DELIGHT (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out and was trying to launch a closing raid when 8m from the winner GOLDEN SAND in slick time. From this gate he can settle handy to the action and ready to issue a challenge.

ONLY ONCE BITTEN (9) is a lightly raced mare resuming from a spell for the Butt stable that has trialled here at Redcliffe in nice order in preparation for the return. The gate sting first up.

HIGH ON MONTANA (1) will be burrowing through attempting to protect the poles. Able to do so at Marburg last start and then grabbed late when 3rd, he might need to be looking for gaps in this.

SELECTIONS: TEE RAVELLING (6), SHADYS DELIGHT (2), ONLY ONCE BITTEN (9), HIGH ON MONTANA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TEE RAVELLING (6) to win

RACE FOUR

ORATORIA (1)
has only faced the starter once when responsible for a brave effort in holding on for the silver in slick time at Wagga. Part of the Druitt travelling team, he was beaten for early hustle off the arm before moving out to sit parked the last 1100m. He can burrow through to breakthrough.

NIZHONI (9) has had just the two career starts and still has plenty to learn. Striking trouble on debut in a much tougher contest at headquarters, she was second up here and sent to the front from gate 6 but looked to beat herself when holding on for 3rd. Added experience will help.

IMTHECANDYMAN (6) eased from this gate last start to settle at the rear and never really got warmed up over the closing stages. Still honing his race craft, he can be further improved in this.

MULLUM BUD (4) is a 2YO Changeover gelding on debut for Darren Weeks, tackling this mixed maiden. With a sound trial to prepare for his first outing, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ORATORIA (1), NIZHONI (9), IMTHECANDYMAN (6), MULLUM BUD (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ORATORIA (1) to win

RACE FIVE

MONTEREY JACK (3) was obliged to do it the tough way two starts back when sent to sit parked from gate 3 over the sprint trip. Grafting it out, he was strong to the line to be just a head from the winner. Only 3m away last time from gate 6, he can force the issue here to capitalise.

LANCELOT BROMAC (1) has been runner-up at his past two starts on this deck, the latest when trying to make closing ground to be within 2m of the winner SWEET JASMINE. 8m away the start prior when trying to wind up, he looks in danger of being buried but will be making a closing play.

BUTCHERFEELGOOD (6) snagged back off the arm last start when second up from a spell and was making some nice metres int eh closing stages. 3rd here two starts back, she can be closing out hard.

ROLLONX (2) is a slick beginner that can fire out and then likely be looking for cover. A winner from the pocket trail here two runs back, in behind the speed can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: MONTEREY JACK (3), LANCELOT BROMAC (1), BUTCHERFEELGOOD (6), ROLLONX (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTEREY JACK (3) to win

RACE SIX

DOCTA FEELGOOD (5)
has some uninspiring numbers next to his name, but he has been meeting tougher opponents than he will battle here and should relish returning to The Triangle. Chasing from back in the pack last start over the AP 2138m trip, he can press on and turn it around here.

ETERNAL GOLD (2) stretched his record on this track to 4 wins in 6 attempts last start when settling in the 1x1 trail from this same gate and powering over the top in the closing stages to score. Not too far away over the AP 2138m two starts back, he can get the right trail to challenge once again.

ITS SUPER EASY (9) has no favours from outside the second line but has been in nice touch of late, hitting with 2 wins and 2 minors in his past 4. Hitting the line strongly last start, he can make a play.

BONNIES CAM (6) was making a closing raid over the AP mile two starts back when grabbing the silver, finishing just 1m from the winner. Doing it tough wasy last start, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: DOCTA FEELGOOD (5), ETERNAL GOLD (2), ITS SUPER EASY (9), BONNIES CAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

DIGYOURHEELSIN (2)
was first up back in Qld last time out and after having an early shot from gate 2 and doing some work, fought on to be just 3m in arrears of the winner KOWHAI BLAZE. Runner-up at her last Vic run before heading North, she can throw down a big challenge here.

SWEET JASMINE (1) was sent forward from the second line last time out and pressing on to sit parked proved too strong with a 2m victory. Making some nice metres from back in the pack when chasing CRADLE OF FIRE and grabbing 2nd, she lands all the options here to capitalise.

ZARAS A TREASURE (3) started from inside the second line last time out over the AP mile and buried in the run finished midfield to subsequent winner GOLDEN SAND. A return to Redcliffe suits.

FAIREACHDAINN (7) looks set to enjoy an economical trip against the markers and will be ready to make a play when the gaps open. Fading after being harangued in front at Marburg last start, the cosy trip helps.

SELECTIONS: DIGYOURHEELSIN (2), SWEET JASMINE (1), ZARAS A TREASURE (3), FAIREACHDAINN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DIGYOURHEELSIN (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

BEJIGGITY (7) tackled he Redcliffe Oaks last start so should appreciate a return to this grade after finishing down the line behind AMORE VITA. Only 7m away the start prior after being buried in the run, she can settle in the trail here and make the closing shot a winning one.

RAANI (1) was a beaten fav last start from outside the second line and making solid ground in the closing stages when 3m in arrears of the winner. 5m away the start prior from the 1x1 trail, she has the benefit of the gate to burrow through and will be giving them plenty to chase down.

ALLAMBIE (3) makes her first Qld appearance for visiting trainer Allan Ellul and arrives a last start winner at Penrith when finding space to charge out of the pack to score. She might need to roll the sleeves for this.

FIRE AND ICE (8) was a winner at headquarters four runs back when producing at the right time to arrive for a smart win. Solid to the line last start, he can get for the pegs for the shortest way home.

SELECTIONS: BEJIGGITY (7), RAANI (1), ALLAMBIE (3), FIRE AND ICE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BEJIGGITY (7) to win

RACE NINE

OUR MAJOR DAY (6)
has not been too far away in recent outings and looks to have found himself a winnable contest here despite the tough gate. Starting from a 30m tape over the 1780m at his most recent appearance, the effort was full of merit in chasing all the way. This is within reach.

ARTHUR LOWE (3) was a runner up in claiming grade over the AP 2138m trip five runs back and since that outing, has been going back off the arm to secure position. Finding a race here with the opportunity to light the fuse off the gate, he can be up near the action to issue the challenge.

SOLE AMBITION (4) was sent around the field from outside the second line at Marburg last time out and asked to graft it out was in for the fight in holding 2nd. From the gate he can make a play.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (9) has placed at his past two starts and find himself back to a winnable contest here but will need to beat the gate. Only a neck away last time, he is right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OUR MAJOR DAY (6), ARTHUR LOWE (3), SOLE AMBITION (4), MAFUTA VAUTIN (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

BE MY ROCK (9)
has a few factors against him, but there is enough to like in how he has been performing to suggest he can overcome the impediments. A sound effort last start behind SLIP THE HUNDY after retreating from gate 6, the tempo looks strong enough for him to power over the top.

ROSARITO (4) was hemmed away against the poles last start from inside the second line before taking the passing lane in the stretch to arrive for the prize. With the tempo to sit off the pace and make a closing challenge, look for him winding up in the latter stages.

MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (1) bounced back to winning form at Marburg last start after being buried in the run and then getting clear to claim a 3m margin. With early hustle he will be gripping on.

THE HERVEY BAY (6) can do his share of work in races and looks set to be sent forward to get into the contest. Only 2m away here two runs back, he will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: BE MY ROCK (9), ROSARITO (4), MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (1), THE HERVEY BAY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BE MY ROCK (9) to win
