Racing Queensland has revised tomorrow’s Ipswich Turf Club meeting following a track inspection.

With surface water pooling at the (1350m, 1200m and 800m) starting chutes, and with there being little likelihood of it dissipating, all races on the program will now be started on the course proper (circle) with distance changes applicable to the following:

  • Race 1 – was 800m, is now 1000m;
  • Race 2 – was 2560m, is now 2200m;
  • Race 3 – was 1700m, is now 1650m;
  • Race 4 – was 1350m, is  now 1200m;
  • Race 5 – was 1350m, is now 1200m; and
  • Race 8 – was 1350m, is now 1200m.

Any scratchings transacted as a consequence of the distance changes will not be subject to the charging of fees.

Trainers/riders with engagements at tomorrow’s meeting have been advised by way of SMS messaging.

At this stage the track is rated as a Heavy 10 with the likelihood of an upgrade during the meeting should the predicted drying weather eventuate.
