RACE TWO

Relying on some factors to fall in his favour and the gaps to open WHATA OPTIMIST (6) will enjoy the economical trip and just needs open road at the right time. A winner here two starts back when grafting it out from the breeze, he was buried last start and never got clear.

ELLE JAY (1) was sent to sit parked at Redcliffe last start from gate 6 and after a tough trip faded to be near the tail. Assess her chances from this gate off a pair of placings on this track at the previous two outings and from the good gate lands all the options to throw down the challenge.

TIMENPATIENCE (5) faces an ask from the outside paint, the same alley she started from two runs back when easing to the rear and never getting into the battle. With even luck she can place.

STUDLEIGH MARK (8) was 6m from the winner here last week which had followed a tough run when sitting parked. Hitting the board in his other three starts on this deck, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: WHATA OPTIMIST (6), ELLE JAY (1), TIMENPATIENCE (5), STUDLEIGH MARK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATA OPTIMIST (6) to win

RACE THREE

Two main factors work to the favour of DOLLARBILL (7) in this contest- his record at the track that shows seven wins and his ability to run the 2200m trip. A winner from outside the second line over this trip last start when proving too strong, he is in form and can get around them to graft it out.

BONNIES CAM (4) copped gate 5 here last start when wide off the track trying to make a closing raid but could not reel in the deficit. Just 2m from the winner here two starts back after facing the second line, he has claimed the Warwick Show Final since his last start and can challenge in this.

MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (2) has been kept fresh since his last start victory when sent forward to sit parked and holding on over the AP mile. A two-time winner on this track, he is in the mix.

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (3) will be on the one-day back-up after going around on Thursday. Placed his previous two starts, he can be close enough to the action to make a play.

SELECTIONS: DOLLARBILL (7), BONNIES CAM (4), MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (2), CHEDDAR MADE BETA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: DOLLARBILL (7) to win

RACE FOUR

Spearing off the arm to take control here two starts back, SHEREACTS (3) was able to keep an even tempo and score an effortless 3m victory. Slammed with the outside second line gate last time, the effort had merit behind BULLDOG BRAWLER and with the improved gate she can bounce back.

AUNTY FRANCES (1) will be on the one-day back-up after looking to face a task on Thursday from gate 3 with speed underneath. A winner here three starts back from the pocket trail when easing to the outside at the top of the stretch and cruising home to score, she can enjoy a similar trip here.

SHADYS DELIGHT (6) was hemmed away three back on the poles last start at The Triangle and when the gap arrived, he hit the line in smart order to grab the silver. He will be searching for open road.

HEAVY HITTER (9) was sent to sit outside the leader last start when resuming from a spell where the race developed into an 800m sprint. 5m away in holding 3rd, he will strip fitter from that outing.

SELECTIONS: SHEREACTS (3), AUNTY FRANCES (1), SHADYS DELIGHT (6), HEAVY HITTER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEREACTS (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Landing his best gate for some time and with a tidy record on this track, VIEWBYTHEROCK (1) looks to have found the conditions to capitalise. Gate 5 was his undoing here last start when forced to retreat and then was too far out of the ground. A game 3rd when parked two back, he can dictate.

BULLDOG BRAWLER (8) had been building towards a win after finishing as the runner-up in successive starts from gate 1 on this track and franked that assessment when powering home over the top of them here last start. This is a rise in grade, but with the right trip he can go close.

SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (6) was midfield last start after easing into the running line from gate 3. Placed in both starts prior, she was runner-up to GOALKICKER two starts back and will be probing.

MISSTREPO (9) will be making her first appearance here at the ‘Burg after a tough last start over the 2040m at Redcliffe when sent to sit parked from the second line. The gate does her no favours again.

SELECTIONS: VIEWBYTHEROCK (1), BULLDOG BRAWLER (8), SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (6), MISSTREPO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: VIEWBYTHEROCK (1) to win

RACE SIX

Firing off the arm to keep them wide from gate 2 over this trip last start, MAGICOL IDEAL (1) had the speed on throughout with a sub 30 opening panel. The tempo took a toll and he was out of bullets at the top of the stretch when holding 3rd.  With a steadier time in the middle stages, he can see it out.

GET READY TO ROCK (8) claimed a mare’s qualifier two starts back when securing the perfect trip in behind the speed and using the passing lane to make the closing shot a winning one. 7m from MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR last start at her first Marburg appearance, she can challenge in this.

WHATA ROLLER (3) has been in nice touch, hitting the board in four of his past five starts. Sent to the post as fav from gate 3 last start, he grabbed the silver and can be thereabouts once again.

MACH TORQUE (2) has featured in a stable switch to join the Ricky Hart barn. Last seen on Feb 23 when midfield over the Redcliffe 2040m trip, she is a podium hope in this.

SELECTIONS: MAGICOL IDEAL (1), GET READY TO ROCK (8), WHATA ROLLER (3), MACH TORQUE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MAGICOL IDEAL (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

SHADOW MINISTER (1)
was attempting to take them all the way here two starts back and after a pedestrian opening half of 64.9 was collared in the stretch to go under by a head margin. That was at the 2200m and with a return to the sprint trip, he can hold them wide and look to see it out.

MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (9) goes in search of a hat-trick of Marburg victories after consecutive wins from the second line. Finding the 1x1 trail last week and owning superior closing power, the tempo looks right for him to again throw down the closing challenge.

BARKWAY ARNOLD (4) was a qualifying winner four starts back over the AP mile when powering up early from gate 1 and taking them all the way. His three runs since have been good and he has claims.

ELMS CREEK (6) held the front here two starts back, with a slick lead time the expense of the lamp lighting duties. Holding on for 3rd, he grabbed the silver last start behind ANOTHER STATEMENT and will be probing.

SELECTIONS: SHADOW MINISTER (1), MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (9), BARKWAY ARNOLD (4), ELMS CREEK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SHADOW MINISTER (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

Starting from the outside fence here last week with a plethora of speed to her inside, ARTFUL MAID (7) was snagged to the rear. Sent around them from the 600m she attacked the line with power to break 56 for her last 800, a sectional extremely rare on this track. With the perfect trail, she can strike.

MISTER DIAMOND (2) will strip fitter from his last start where he was resuming from a spell. Slammed with the outside second line, he was wide off the track trying to eat into the margin, but the tempo made it tough chasing. The improved gate can be the catalyst for him to challenge.

GOELITZ (1) started from inside the second line last start and found the space to squeeze off and arrive for a neck margin. The gate is a big asset and he can burrow through and try to dictate.

ROLL ONE OVER (6) was a winner three starts back at The Creek when sitting parked and grafting out a determined win. Fresh since his last appearance on February 19, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: ARTFUL MAID (7), MISTER DIAMOND (2), GOELITZ (1), ROLL ONE OVER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ARTFUL MAID (7) to win
