RACE 1: WARREGO HOTEL MAIDEN PLATE – 1200m
 
I’M SASSY – Slow to begin.
 
WITHOUT DISSENT – Refused to load. Declared a late scratching at 1:40pm by order of the stewards. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in WITHOUT DISSENT be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
 
1St- 15c the win & 18c the place
2nd-16c the place
 
Trainer C. Baker was advised a warning would be placed on the colt.
 
ROBODAN – Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 2: CUNNAMULLA COFFEE SHOP BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP – 1200m
 
HIDDEN CHIEF, MY VALORE and  CAN HE RAP were all scratched due to no riders being available.
 
BERNIE’S DESERT – Slow to begin.
 
ANOTHER WEAPON – Began awkwardly tightening another runner to the outside.  
 
RED GERANIUM – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
LITTLE MISS TEE – Raced four wide without cover from the 600m.
 
RENEWING HOPE – Apprentice N. Morton reported that the mare was inclined to lay out throughout.
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
 
RACE 3: MASCOTT DRILLING & EARTHMOVING P/L BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1000m
 
DENMAN DREAMING – Began awkwardly making contact with a runner to the outside.
 
SNAKE ATTACK – Slow to begin.
 
DOS SANTOS – Slow to begin. Dislodged its near fore plate approaching the 400m. Upon returning to scale Apprentice J. Brand reported that the gelding felt unsound in its action throughout the event and as a result raced disappointingly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore hoof. A Veterinary clearance will be required for the gelding prior to next start.
 
Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the plate that was dislodged from DOS SANTOS as they were concerned with the plates specifications. Trainer M. Johnstone was advised that the matter would be reconvened at a later date and that DOS SANTOS was not to race in such plate’s until the conclusion of the inquiry.
 

RACE 4: BUSTER & LORRAINE SCHMIDT MEMORIAL OPEN HANDICAP – 1000m
 
NUDE SECRETS – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with another runner to the outside.
 
POLAR BLITZ – Taken wider by another runner shortly after the start making contact with another runner to the outside.
 
CAMBOOYA ROCK – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start.
 
KAPACHINO MISS – Upon returning to scale Apprentice B. Rooney reported that her saddle slipped rounding the home turn and she was unable to ride out her mount for the remainder of the event.
 
RACE 5: SIMRAE DIESEL & WELDING BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1400m
 
PRICELESS DE HERO – Began awkwardly.
 
GRAVITY FORCE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
