The riding weight for App J. Hodge was incorrectly advertised at 54 kilos. App Hodges correct riding weight is 55.5 kilos.
 
RACE 1: UBET.DOWNLOAD THE APP. QTIS 2YO Maiden Plate – 1300m
 
CHAMPAGNE GARDEN was declared a late scratching at 11 a.m. after the colt injured itself in the float on the way to the racecourse.
 
FOR THE RECORDS – Overraced in the early stages.
 
UBER MOVER – Overraced in the middle stages and near the 700m had to be steadied from the heels of MYSTIC MIST.
 
POETIC ATTACKS – Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SHUNTER – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Following the running of this event the track was downgraded to a Heavy 9.
 
 
RACE 2: UBET + REWARDS Maiden Handicap – 1200m
 
KEGSY – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Leaving the 1000m had to be steadied when placed in restricted room and in doing so bumped the running rail.
HEART OF TOORAK – Slow to begin. Leaving the 500m had to be steadied from the heels of KIMHORSEDASHIAN.
 
CHLOE ELIEN – Slow to begin. Shifted out abruptly passing the 200m. Jockey C. Taylor reported that the filly raced greenly throughout and as a consequence lost ground leaving the 900m when steadied from heels.
 
SHELTIC – Overraced in the early stages.
 
ELECTRIC ANNA – Near the 1000m had to be eased when placed in restricted room.
 
LITTLE MISTER – Steadied when tightened for room passing the 200m. Raced wide throughout.
 
KIMHORSEDASHIAN – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
RACE 3: UBET BETSHARE Maiden Plate – 1800m
 
BENICSTRESS – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
HIDDEN ACTION – Began awkwardly.
 
MR BOOMBASTIC – Hampered at the start when tightened for room.
 
WENDOUREE RED – Near the 800m when shifting out to improve bumped HEADLIGHTS. Steadied away from the heels of BENICSTRESS, which was weakening, passing the 600m.
 
HEADLIGHTS – Passing the 100m was bumped by WENDOUREE RED. Raced wide throughout.
 
CAPTAINS LEGEND – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
RACE 4: UBET MULTI BUILDER BenchMark 65 Handicap – 900m
 
NOURISHING – Began awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
AIMALAC BOBBY – Hung out throughout event. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
OLD TRIESTE – When questioned as to the performance jockey L. Rolls noted that the gelding lost ground at the start after suffering interference, following which it failed to handle the heavy track conditions. He added that the gelding was having its first start in a race in over 12 months today and combined with the heavy conditions peaked on its run over the final 200m.
 
 
 
RACE 5: UBET CASH OUT Class 4 Handicap – 1800m
 
MONTRER DAME – Slow to begin.
 
STAR ECHO – Slow to begin.
 
GODZONE GIRL – Raced wide without cover in the early stages. Jockey R. McMahon reported the mare failed to handle the heavy track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.    
 
BARRAAJ – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
RACE 6: UBET Class 1 Handicap – 1200m
 
ENGRAVED – Fractious in the barriers and as a consequence was slow to begin.
 
EXCELEBRAZIONE – Began awkwardly.
 
PRINCESS ELLE – Hampered at the start. Jockey C. Taylor reported the mare raced keenly during the middle stages before being obliged to race extremely wide rounding the home turn.
 
DIXYVILLE – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
WIN TUFF – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 7: BACKING RACING ON THE GOLD COAST.UBET. BenchMark 75 Handicap – 1200m
 
Stewards acceded to a request from trainer T. Edmonds to scratch MYSTIC MOON due to the downgrade of the track. MYSTIC MOON was subsequently declared a late scratching at 3.25 p.m.
 
SWEET SHAMROCK – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
FLAMING ACES – Began awkwardly.
 
Jockey S. Doyle (DENBERN) was reprimanded for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race.
 
 
RACE 8: SPILL THE BEANS @ AQUIS FARM BenchMark 65 Handicap – 1400m
 
Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer M. Lakey for the late declaration of L. Cheshire as the rider of BROCSON.
 
WE BUILT THIS CITY – Hampered at the start when tightened for room between RUMERON and MISS SEVERINA, both of which shifted ground. A short distance later had to be steadied from the heels of MISS SEVERINA. Upon straightening when shifting out to improve bumped HIGHTOWER.
 
MISS SEVERINA – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped WE BUILT THIS CITY. When questioned as to the performance jockey C. Whiteley noted that the mare having won a maiden at its previous start was up in class today. He added that passing the 600m he was obliged to ride the mare along, at which point it failed to respond as he had anticipated. He further added that approaching the 200m he was obliged to shift out to secure clear running after which the mare finished the race off fairly. Given these circumstances jockey Whiteley was not overly disappointed with the performance.
 
RUMERON – Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped WE BUILT THIS CITY. Overraced in the early stages when being bumped by BROCSON.
 
SIDERO STAR – Blundered on jumping away. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
BROCSON – Bumped RUMERON on a number of occasions in the early stages.
 
HIGHTOWER – Overraced at the heels of NELUMBO in the early stages. Bumped on straightening.
 
OUR CLARKY – Leaving the 500m shifted out marginally and bumped DONOT SAY ANYTHING.
 
DONOT SAY ANYTHING – Leaving the 500m when bumped on the hind quarters by OUR CLARKY became unbalanced.
 
App M. Shimodaira (OUR CLARKY) was reminded of his obligations not to use the whip on horses which are out of contention.
