RACE 5: GERARD LIGHTING Ratings Band 0-62 Handicap – 1200m

Stewards considered an objection lodged by B. Guy the trainer of ANGELAS BEAUTY (J. Byrne) which finished third against INVINCIBOY (R. Palmer) which was placed first and also ITS CHOUX TIME (G. Colless) which was placed second. After viewing the patrol footage and considering the evidence tendered stewards found that INVINCIBOY shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages and near the 50m brushed ANGELAS BEAUTY. Bearing in mind the minimal contact and margin of a neck between first and third stewards dismissed that objection. As a consequence ANGELAS BEAUTY and ITS CHOUX TIME then bumped on a number of occasions over the final 50m. Stewards were of the view that any shift from ITS CHOUX TIME was negligible and bearing in mind the half neck margin between second and third stewards also dismissed that objection.

ITS CHOUX TIME – Began awkwardly.

TISANI GREY – Slow to begin. Laid in upon straightening.

DRUMMERS CHANCE – Left a trailing position leaving the 1400m to improve three wide and settle outside the leader near the 1100m.
