Race 1: BLUE RIBBON BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 900m:
 
MOLONGLE FIRE – Reluctant to load. Had to be restrained when crowded to the inside of another runner near the 600m.
 
CHECKOUT ME TRAVLA – Began awkwardly. Appeared to blunder when in clear running near the 800.
 
WHO’S YOUR CADDY – Raced wide for the majority.
 
MORE WORLDLY – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
Jockey K Aho pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions or AR137(a) in that she failed to make sufficient effort to prevent GUTZ CI from shifting in when insufficiently clear of MOLONGLE FIRE (App. R Shred) resulting in that runner having to be checked, losing its rightful running. Jockey Aho’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence at midnight Saturday December 9th 2017 up to and including midnight Sunday December 17th 2017. In determining penalty Stewards took into account Jockey Aho’s good recent record in relation to the rule, her guilty plea and the degree of interference which was considered to in the low range. Jockey Aho was advised of her right to an internal review.
 
Race 2: BURDEKIN VETERINARY SERVICES RATINGS BAND 0-50 HANDICAP 900 m:
 
REVERENCE – Slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly.
 
RAGNAR LODBROK – Raced 3 wide for the majority.
 
HURAI – Raced 4 wide without cover for the majority.
 
App. R Shred was issued with a severe reprimand for careless riding under the provisions or AR137(a) in that she permitted OVER THE CHOICE to shift in near the 200m when insufficiently clear of DUNNYS STAR (B Thomson) resulting in that runner having to be restrained across heels.
 
Race 3: PACIFIC REEF FISHERIES MAIDEN PLATE 1000m:
 
RAVENHEART - Slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly.
 
DEACON BLACK - Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
WRONGLY ACCUSED - Raced wide for the majority.
 
REVERBERATING – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
MILALBA - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 4:  MATER HEALTH SEVICES CLASS B HANDICAP 1180m:
 
GORGEOUS GAL - Raced wide for the majority.
 
CORAL SEAS - Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
Race 5: CROWN HOTEL XMAS CUP BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1180m:
 
MOLONGLE HERO – Slowly away.
 
AUTHADANE - Slowly away.
 
WE FOUND IT – Raced 3 wide without cover in the early and middle stages.
 
CHATEAU MAROUX – Inclined to shift out under pressure down the running.
 
RACING HARADA – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 6: LINDSAY RURAL CLASS B HANDICAP 1460m:
 
GONDWANA BAY – Fractious in barriers.
 
MORE THAN KALOOKAN – Made the 1200m crossing awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
