RACE 1: DRURY FARMING & MILES AUTO PARTS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1050m
AGUERO – Refused to load. Declared a late scratching at 1:50pm by order of the Stewards. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in AGUERO be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
0 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets
3 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets for the place
4 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets
5 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets
HARRYS ME BOY – Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, Jockey N. Evans reported that the gelding resented the kick back and as a result proved disappointing.
CYCLONE MIA – Began awkwardly.
I’M FAVULOUS – Reluctant to proceed to the barriers and was difficult to load, Trainer D. Baker was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse. Raced wide without cover throughout.
MASK STEPENNY – Raced wide with cover throughout.
RACE 2: MILES IGA & CHAPLAIN BUTCHERY CLASS B HANDICAP – 1050m
BONDI BATTLE – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance Jockey S. Apthorpe reported that although the gelding travelled well through the early stages the runner failed to handle the surface of today’s event when placed under pressure.
NAVAJO PRINCE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
WUJER – Raced wide with cover throughout.
MOUNTIAN RETREAT – Raced wide with cover throughout.
WILD ELEMENT – Raced wide without cover throughout.
SOLARTEK – Raced three wide no cover throughout.
RACE 3: MURILLA FOODWORKS & CMT HAULAGE BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1200m
MR METICULOUS – Made contact with the enclosure fence prior to the event. A pre-race veterinary examination passed the gelding fit to start. Forced to steady momentarily at the 1000m when WONDERFUL WALLY shifted in. Apprentice M. Wishart (WONDERFUL WALLY) was advised to exercise more care.
PICK OF THE PUBS – Raced wide with cover throughout.
HARIIR – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside. Jockey C. Eaton was reminded of her obligation to ride out her mount to the conclusion of the event.
LUCKY TICKET – Raced wide with cover throughout.
HIGH CALL – Raced wide no cover throughout.
RACE 4: Q HOTEL MURILLA CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1200m
THING DISGUISE – Slow to begin. Raced wide down the home straight.
REPO ZEST – Began awkwardly. Bumped another runner to the outside at the 650m.
KING LUDWIG – Bumped another runner to the inside at the 650m.
MAN OF DESTINY – Hung out rounding the 600m until the home turn.
FAB’S COWBOY – Raced three wide no cover throughout.
RACE 5: MURILLA HARDWARE SUPPLIES JOHN MULLINS MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1500m
ONEMORE TWIST – Slow to begin. Raced wide with cover from the 600m.
SAN SEVERO – Slow to begin.
LANDED – Raced wide without cover throughout.
BYRON BABE – Began awkwardly.
NATION JEWEL – Raced wide with cover throughout.
