Race 1: SMW Group Class 6 H’cap – 1600m
 
RESET EXPRESS – Trainer R. Vale was fined $200 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time. Stewards questioned apprentice Q. Krogh with regard to his riding in the early stages of the race. He stated he was instructed to go forward and lead. He rode the horse vigorously in the early stages to comply with those instructions, however GOOD JUDGE assumed the lead. Apprentice Krogh agreed with stewards that he had erred in shifting out approaching the 1200m to race outside GOOD JUDGE when it would have been advisable to have held his position behind the leader.
 
DAWN FIGHTER –  Jumped outwards at the start and made contact with the barrier partition. Near the 1050m was steadied from the heels of GREEN EMPIRE and shifted out, taking GLADISHING out, which in turn made contact with FASSLER.
 
GOOD JUDGE – Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 2: Duggan Haulage Breeders Plate QTIS 2yo C&G Maiden Plate – 1050m
 
HIDDEN CLASSIC – Began awkwardly.
 
CRAIGLEA RUBBLE – Stepped backwards as the start was effected, began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
SHENRON – Laid out in the middle stages.
 
MISTA LONGHORN – Slow to begin.
 
RUBY GEORGIE – Began awkwardly and raced wide without cover.
 
Race 3: 4RO Breeders Plate QTIS 2yo Fillies Maiden Plate – 1050m
 
MISS NASTY – Slow to begin.
 
GRACIE BELLE – Jockey A. Allen reported his mount was inclined to over race. Bumped near the 600 metres. In the early stages of the straight raced greenly, and over the concluding stages was inclined to lay in.
 
LEGAL TIES – Bumped leaving the 600m.
 
CHEAPY CHICK – A post race veterinary examination of the filly did not reveal any significant abnormalities. Apprentice E. Smith was fined $100  for failing to  weigh in for 4th.
 
KIMMIE KAY –Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 4: Tropical Auto Group Open H’cap – 1050m
 
CASINO THOUGHTS – Dwelt and lost some ground at the start. Near the 900m improved and shifted out from the heels of DOTHERIGHTTHING.
 
DOTHERIGHTHING – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
SPORTING PAGE - Near the 900m, when the pace eased, was restrained from the heels of ELJAY ATOM. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up for clear running until near the 300m. Rider J. Stanley reported that his mount was inclined to lay in over the concluding stages, which caused him difficulty in riding it out.
 
Race 5: Diplock Collision And Repair Centre Maiden H’cap – 1100m
 
TRUSTIN DREAMS – A pre-race veterinary examination of the horse which had not raced in more than 12 months cleared the horse to start.
 
PRESCRIPTION – Was presented to the enclosure without blinkers and pacifiers as declared and raced in winkers. A public announcement was made to this effect. Trainer A. Clark was fined $200.  Jumped awkwardly and dipped on jumping.
 
GAI OF THE GALAXY – Trainer T. McMahon was reprimanded for failing to declare D. Simmons as the rider of the horse by the prescribed time.
 
LIFE’S A WITCH – The explanation provided by trainer L. Wanless for the late declaration of rider for the horse was accepted.  Jumped inwards at the start and made heavy contact with PETITE BELLE
 
PETITE ELLE – Bumped heavily at the start. Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
MISS DE MIRAGE – Slow to begin.
 
MAGNUS RULES – Raced wide without cover.
 
GAI OF THE GALAXY – Had difficulty gaining clear running until near the 300m when MISS DE MIRAGE had contacted it on a number of occasions and laid in.
 
Race 6: Laurel Glen Equine Centre/Glenda Smyth Holistic Health Class 1 H’cap – 1050m
 
ROSE OR BUD – Trainer D. Johnston was fined $100 for the late declaration P. Romeo as the rider of the horse. In determining penalty, Stewards were mindful of Mr Johnston’s good record.
 
FREE DROP – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
SHE’S ON PONT – Began awkwardly and raced wide with cover.
 
JAY JAY – Jumped inwards and made contact with AMAHERO, which became unbalanced.
 
GRAND EDGEROI – Leaving the 500m shifted out and at this stage SHE’S ON POINT shifted in and was contact on the hindquarters resulting in SHE’S ON POINT becoming unbalanced.  Raced wide without cover.
 
AMAHERO – Held up and had difficulty obtaining clear running until near the 250m.
 
DEBBIE’S DREAM – A post-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed it had been galloped on on the off foreleg and sustained minor lacerations.
 
 
Race 7: RCR-Haden – Air Conditioning Benchmark 70 H’cap – 1200m
 
COVERT CHARMOUR – Declared a late scratching at 11.35 am. Trainer explained that it had lost a plate en route to the track and there was difficulty in replacing the plate.
 
CLATEAU – Began awkwardly and shifted out, making contact with GOWER.  Jockey A. Butler pleaded guilty to a charge under AR137(a)(5)(a)(ii) in that as the rider of CLATEAU he used his whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m mark, namely 11 occasions. As jockey Butler had recently returned from a suspension for this offence, stewards determined the appropriate penalty be a suspension of his licence to ride in races from m/n Friday, 17 November, up to and including 26 November, 2017 (9 days).
 
JUST CALL ME LOUIE – Raced wide without cover.
 
SUNRISE GLORY- Began awkwardly and was slow to begin.
