Race 1: Great Northern Benchmark 70 H’cap – 1609m  
 
GUNDY STAR – Trainer S. D’Avila was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time. Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
FORGIVE ME – Was fractious in the barriers prior to the start and began awkwardly, losing ground.
 
CRACOW – Slow to begin.
 
Race 2: Hit 103.1 Ratings Band 0-60 H’cap – 1300m 
 
CRAIGLEA GHETTO – Began awkwardly and shifted in, inconveniencing another runner.
 
SERVEANT SHRIVER – Inconvenienced by another runner on jumping away. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BEG PARDON – Bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground. Raced ungenerously in the early stages.
 
RACING HARADA – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SNAKE FARLEY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
OUR HUSSLER – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 3: Cancer Council Qld QTIS 3yo Maiden H’cap – 1200m 
 
INDELICACY – Began awkwardly. Shortly after the start improved onto heels and blundered badly.
 
SIDTHEKID – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
CRATLOE – Began awkwardly.
 
AIRLIE BEACH – Slow to begin.
 
MAHARG – Slow into stride.
 
MICK’S DREAM – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
AMBITIOUS DREAM – Raced 4 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
FEMALE OFFICER – Raced 5 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
ALPHORN – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 4: Cuisine To Go Maiden H’cap – 1000m 
 
IRISH TOUCH – As jockey A. Holt was unable to make the weight, jockey S. Sheargold was substituted as the rider of the horse. Jockey Holt was fined $100. Slow to begin.
 
RANGERZANE – Slow to begin. Checked near the 350m.
 
SPREAD THE NEWS – Began awkwardly. Inconvenienced by another runner near the 350m and forced wider.
 
MY BOY TICKETS – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Inconvenienced and forced wider near the 350m.
 
CLEVELAND DREAM – Slow to begin. Lost its near fore plate in running.
 
LEIGHWAY - Inconvenienced by another runner near the 350m and forced wider. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ABBA ORIGINAL – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WILD AZ WILL – Clipped heels and blundered near the 350m.  
 
BRIGHT ANGEL – Rider B. Thomson was dislodged on returning to scale having a seemingly harmless fall.
 
DEACON BLACK – Apprentice A. Thomson pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a), in that near the 350m she permitted her mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of RANGERZANE, which was dictated outwards onto the rightful running of WILD AZ WILL (N. Yadi) which clipped that runners heels and blundered. LEIGHWAY (S. Wiseman), SPREAD THE NEWS (D. Simmons) and MY BOY TICKETS (Q. Krogh), which were following, were also inconvenienced and forced wider. Apprentice A. Thomson’s licence to ride in races  was suspended for a period of 16 days, to commence at midnight, 23 December 2017 up to and including midnight 8 January 2018. Further, stewards ordered that apprentice A. Thomson be referred to the Rider Advisory Panel in relation to her recent poor record under this rule.
 
Race 5: Hygain Benchmark 65 H’cap – 1000m 
 
TESTATIME – Slow into stride.
 
RAPT IN RUMBA – Shifted out near the 900m, inconveniencing other runners.  Apprentice N. Nelson was severely reprimanded and advised to show much greater care in similar circumstances. 
 
SUCKER – Inconvenienced leaving the 900m.
 
CRAIGLEA ODYSSEY – Tightened for room between runners near the 900m.
 
MOLONGLE DREAM – Apprentice Q. Krogh dropped his near-side rein for a short distance near the 100m.
 
CHEERING – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WICKED WIKI – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SERIOUSLY HAPPY – Raced 5 wide for the majority of the race without cover.  
 
 
 
Race  6: Magic Millions County Cup Qualifier Open H’cap – 1200m 
 
GREEN ANCHOR – As F. Edwards was to be overweight, N. Yadi  was substituted as the rider of the horse. Jockey F. Edwards was fined $100. Shifted ground under pressure over the concluding stages. 
 
CRAIGLEA CRUZ – Began awkwardly.
 
FAR NORTH – Blundered on jumping and shifted out, bumping another runner.
 
PINYARDA – Bumped by another runner at the start.
 
POWER SUPPLY – Began awkwardly.
DOTHERIGHTTHING – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
JACK LANCASTER – Had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages.
 
NEVETUS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
I’LL TAKE THE JAG – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
RIVERRIVA – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ROCKETTE ROCKET – Raced 4 wide without cover for the majority of the race and compounded in the home straight.
