Connections advised that the horse would be ridden in a forward position if it jumps cleanly from the barriers. Settled behind the leader after being slow to begin.

Overraced in the early stages. When questioned regarding horse's performance, particularly after passing the 600m, rider said in his opinion the horse did not quicken despite his urgings and this allowed other runners in the field to improve away from his mount. He added that whilst the horse made up ground, he did not feel that the horse had quickened as in his view the horse was passing other weakening runners. He said he recommended to connections that the horse be sent for a spell as he believed it had come to the end of its preparation. Tnr. said the horse would be spelled immediately.
