Race 1: RATINGS BAND 0 – 60 HANDICAP - 1200 metres
STYLISH LUCK – Threw head in the air on jumping losing ground, then travelled wide for the majority.
ASHIKO – Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
Race 2: CLASS 6 PLATE - 1000 metres
Jockey C. Schumacher was the rider of DRAGON FIRE and C. McIver the rider of STYLISH SUN. Stewards accepted the reason from trainer T. Austin on the late declaration of the riders.
ROYAL FROLIC – Slow to begin and slow into stride.
JUST ONE WISH – Jumped inwards.
MENACING – Travelled wide for much of the event and hung in down the home straight under pressure.
STYLISH SON – Travelled wide fort he majority with no cover.
DRINKING COCKTAILS – Slow to begin. Jockey V. Venkaya was cautioned regarding his whip use on the mare.
Race 3: BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
SERIOUS CAPER – Slow to begin.
I KAN CONQUER – Jumped away awkwardly, bumped the rail near the 600m and tended to hang in for much of the race.
HAYYLER’S TARY – Travelled wide for much of the event with no cover.
Race 4: OPEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres
SAMMY SPARROW – Jumped away awkwardly contacting an outside runner.
WICKED WOODY – Contacted at the start and then travelled wide for much of the race.
Race 5: CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres
STAR PICKET—Was extremely agitated in the mounting yard and reared over dislodging jockey C. McIver. C. McIver was uninjured and STAR PICKET underwent a veterinary inspection behind the barriers prior to being allowed to race.
LEND ME A TENNER – Slow into stride, then nearing the 250m was eased and changed course when ONEMORETWOLESS shifted ground.
ONEMORETWOLESS – Shifted ground abruptly near the 250m and had to be straightened.
ISIS HUSSON – Raced ungenerously throughout. A post-race veterinary inspection showed no abnormalities. Trainer T. Cook stated the race was to see if the mare could gallop on dirt and would now be retired.
