Race 1: DUNCAN’S EARTHMOVIING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres

GYPSIES MISCHIEF – Travelled wide for the majority of the race to avoid the dusty track conditions and was uncompetitive throughout.

MARKISTA – Hung out rounding the first turn.

I’M SASSY – Slow to begin and slow into stride.

SUMMER LEA – Hung out from the 600m and proved difficult to ride out.




Race 2: QUEENSLAND COUNTRY ELECTRICAL/BKN BUILDING SOLUTIONS CLASS 3 PLATE - 1000 metres


HIDDEN ROAD – Travelled wide for the majority and hung out rounding the home turn.

EQUAL RULER – Travelled wide for the majority.

VESELKA – Jumped outwards losing ground.





Race 3: BELYANDO BRACELET OPEN HANDICAP - 1000 metres


NUDE SECRETS – Fractious in the gates prior to jumping, slow to begin and raced ungenerously in the dusty track conditions.

PAYBACK – Slow to begin.

ALPINE GOLD – Travelled wide for much of the race and cast a shoe from the off fore down the home straight.

POLAR BLITZ – Slow into stride.

DRINKING COCKTAILS – Travelled wide for much of the race.

BENCHI PEGASUS – Jockey D Rewald was permitted to ride a half kilogram overweight.



Race 4: PAT DILLON MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres


COMESIDICE – Blundered at the start, slow into stride and travelled wide for the majority.

COOL RAIN – Jumped inwards contacting an inside runner, eased over the concluding stages when an outside runner shifted ground.

ARGENTO PERLO – Contacted at the start when runners either side shifted ground, causing the mare to be slow away.

THE PONTSTER – Lay in under pressure over the concluding stages.

CHIPOTLE – Was difficult to ride out and jockey J. Missen stated the horse has a high head carriage and hung out from approximately the 600m. Jockey Missen thought the gelding might improve with a different bit and possibly a nose roll.

IMPLICATE – Jumped outwards contacting an outside runner, then travelled wide for much of the race.






RACE 5: MICHAEL HORMAN TRANSPORT CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200 metres



PURBECK – Awkward to begin and slow into stride.

NICCONI PASQUALE – A late scratching at 3.56pm on veterinary advice, due to a cut on the chest obtained behind the barriers. Deductions were announced with correct weight, being 16 cents in the dollar value of win bets and 18 cents in the dollar value of place bets.

TRUE TIME – Travelled wide for much of the race.

OUR CINERELLA – Stood flat footed as the gates opened losing considerable ground, then was reluctant to gallop in the dusty track conditions. Trainer T. Austin was advised the mare would need to pass a barrier jump out to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again.

BURKETOWN LARRIKIN – Jockey J King was permitted to ride a half kilogram overweight.



Race 6: J & J SYPHER CONTRACTING /RICK VAN LATHUM ALAN PECKETT MEMORIAL BM 65 HANDICAP - 1200 metres

DUTCH COURAGE – Travelled wide for much of the race.

GIRLS AWAY – Travelled wide for most of the race.

HEZA CHUMLEY – Jumped inwards contacting an inside runner.

GREEN LIGHT – Contacted at the start when an outside runner jumped in causing the gelding to be slow into stride.



Race 7: ALPHA COMMUNITY CUP/RACE TO ROMA QUALIFER OPEN HANCICAP – 1700 metres


TUXEDO BOY – Eased shortly after the start when an outside runner shifted ground.

MENACING – Apprentice A. Ross was reminded of her obligation to be sufficiently clear when crossing other horses.

KING MAX – Apprentice E. Smith viewed the patrol footage prior to correct weight being given to ascertain whether to lodge a protest.

CHAMPAGNE TALES – Jockey D Rewald was permitted to ride a half kilogram overweight.
