GENERAL
Race 1. TOLGA MARKETS QTIS 2YO & 3YO MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000m
NORTHERN GREAT – Trainer S Horner advised Stewards that, should circumstances permit, the intention would be to have the gelding ridden more conservatively in the early stages than at previous starts in an effort to keep something in reserve and enable it to finish its race off. The gelding was ridden accordingly.
SUPER DANCER - Slowly away. Over-raced in the early stages.
NORHTERN GREAT – Shifted out on jumping and bumped with another runner.
GO JABBA – Bumped by another runner on jumping. Shifted in and away from another runner near the 800m. Jockey S Kaya advised the gelding was inclined to hang out in running.
MISSION ROAD – Raced wide for the majority.
VIENNA SPIRIT - Raced wide for the majority.
Race 2. ATHERTON TC CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m
MIRACLES APLENTY – Unable to muster pace in the early and middle stages.
FIRERISE – Raced wide for the majority. On returning to the enclosure was found to have got its tongue over the bit in running. Trainer P Rowe advised he may implement a gear change prior to next race start.
Race 3. NISSAN MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
PURRFECTIONIST – Fractious in the barrier.
GOLD REVENGE – Shifted out on jumping inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Raced greenly in the early stages. Commenced to lose ground passing the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
INSTINCTION LASS – Inconvenienced on jumping.

SHE BEATS THE BEST – Shifted in and away from another runner on jumping.
INDY SHOWGIRL – Tightened between runners on jumping.
SUJANI – Tightened between runners on jumping.
DIAMOZU – Bumped heavily by another runner soon after jumping. Post-race was found to have bled from both nostrils in running. This being the 1st episode Trainer R Miller was advised the gelding would incur the mandatory 3 months ban and be required to gallop 1000m satisfactorily in the presence of a Steward prior to next race start.
CAFFE ROMANO – Raced wide for the majority before finishing tailed off. Lost near fore plate in running. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer K Allender was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s competitiveness.
BOUYANCY – Shifted out abruptly on jumping causing Jockey W D’Avila to become unbalanced. Raced in restricted room for a short distance passing the 800m.
REGAL HEART – Raced wide for the majority.
SWEET JUNE – Raced wide for the majority.
EVIE’S PEARL – Post-race was found to have bled from the right nostril in running. Trainer M Potiris was advised the mare would be required to gallop 1000m satisfactorily in the presence of a Steward prior to next race start.
Race 5. SUZUKI CLASS B HANDICAP 1400m
STYLE LINE – Late withdrawal at 3.08pm when unable to be loaded into the barrier. As there was no wagering on the meeting no deductions were applicable.
