Stewards today inquired into comments made by jockey L. Morrison in a pre-race interview on Sky Channel prior to her riding engagement in Race 6 on the day as the rider of “I LOVE ROCK “N” ROLL”. After hearing evidence from J. Kilroy, the trainer of I LOVE ROCK ‘N’ ROLL and jockey L. Morrison, Ms Morrison was found guilty of a charge under AR 228 (a) in that she participated in a pre-race Sky Channel interview and made comments that, in the opinion of stewards, constituted conduct prejudicial to the image of racing. Ms Morrison was fined the sum of $1000. In considering the matter stewards were satisfied the gelding was given every opportunity in running. Ms Morrison was advised of her review rights.
