GENERAL

Race 5 – Barcaldine Meats BM55 Handicap 1400m was reduced in distance to 1300m after discussion with the jockeys and trainers involved for safety reasons.

Race 1: RAILWAY HOTEL BM 65 HANDICAP- 1000 metres

KEV’S DESTINY - Scratched at 12pm as there were no riders available.

LEGAL DANCER – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

SEQUELENE - Travelled wide throughout the event.

GAMBACCINI – Travelled wide rounding the home turn.


Race 2: ROONEY STOCK CAMP SADDLERY CLASS 1 Handicap- 1200 metres

SKY DISK – Jumped away awkwardly and travelled wide in the early stages of the race.

ELLE STYLE – Was hindered at the start when the gate came back on the mare which caused her to be slow away then continued to race wide throughout the event.

GO SAI – Shifted in at the 180m mark tightening another runner.

FLIRTING DRAGON – Was eased for a few strides at the 180m when tightened by another runner.

VALHALLA MIST – Shifted out sharply at the 180m. Jockey S.Chan was reprimanded for careless riding and reminded to keep his mount straight.

Jockeys R.Hancock and J.Babarovich were cautioned about their whip action.


Race 3: UNION HOTEL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE- 1200 metres

JIMMA – Slow away.

GRACE AND WILF – Slow away and slow into stride, then travelled wide throughout.

JAGUAR EDITION – Jumped away awkwardly making contact with another runner.

CHESNEY – Raced greenly down the home straight.

MALIBU THIEF – Raced greenly down the home straight.


Race 4: B TURNER & I CLEWS OPEN HANDICAP- 1200 metres

SECRETS – Contact with another runner at the start and was eased shortly after.

CRYSTAL MATES – Travelled wide throught the event. Jockey Rewald stated the saddle slipped at the 400m and the horse was eased before the line.


Race 5: BARCALDINE MEATS BM 55 HANDICAP - 1300 metres

ANOTHER SHADE – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.

HUGHIE AND ME – Travelled wide throughout.


Race 6: BARCALDINE REGIONAL COUNCIL OPEN HANDICAP – 1600 metres

PEACE TALKS – Slow into stride.

HELLUVA HURRY – Travelled wide throughout.

STANDOVER – Over raced in the early stages.
