Race 1: BARCALDINE VETERINARY SERVICES BM 60 HANDICAP - 1000 metes

ZAHA DREAM – Jumped away awkwardly and travelled wide for the majority of the event.

DRAGON TOWN – Jumped outwards making contact with VALHALLA MIST.

VALHALLA MIST – Contacted at the start.

RHYTHM NATON – Approaching the 800m raced into restricted room and had to be restrained.

HUGHIE AND ME – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages of the event.


Race 2: SHAKESPEARE HOTEL MAIDEN PLATE - 1100 metres


NO MORE ISSUE – Jumped inwards making contact with FAB’S COWBOY, and then raced ungenerously for the majority of the event.

FAB’S COWBOY – Contacted at the start losing considerable ground.

DRAGON TOPS – Raced wide for the majority of the event.


Race 3: ROONEY’S STOCKCAMP SADDLERY OPEN HANDICAP - 1100 metres


WIGPOOL – Jumped inwards making contact with CRYSTAL MATES.

CRYSTAL MATES – Taken in on FOUR IRON at the start by another runner.

FOUR IRON – Hampered at the start by outside runners.

BILLY JAY – Slow away and travelled wide for the majority.


Race 4: WESTERN FREIGHT CLASS B HANDICAP - 1300 metres


MISS NOVELTY – Jumped outwards making heavy contact with HOT PLATE.

HOT PLATE – Lost considerable ground after making contact with TAVY NIGHTS when taken out at the start by an inside runner.

TAVY NIGHTS – Taken out on to FASTPITCH by inside runner jumping outwards.

FASTPITCH – Contacted by inside runner then travelled wide with cover.

MIGHTY SAVANNAH – Jumped away awkwardly making contact with YULETIDE, and then travelled wide for the majority.

YULETIDE – Contacted at the start by an inside runner.

COOL DAYS – Travelled wide with cover.

CURLEY GREY – Could muster no early speed and travelled wide for the majority.


Race 5: BARCALDINE WELDING WORKS BM 70 HANDICAP - 1300 metres

HELLUVA HURRY – Blundered out of the gates losing ground and was eased over the concluding stages.

SPIRIT OF MANY – Travelled wide for the majority.

CRAWFISH – Shifted in over the concluding stages brushing BANCHORY LASS.

BANCHORY LASS – Upon returning to scale jockey B. Richardson requested to view the patrol footage over the concluding stages. After viewing the footage jockey Richardson lodged a protest against the first placed horse CRAWFISH ridden by C. Dixon for alleged interference over the concluding stages.

After hearing all evidence by the parties involved and viewing the patrol footage the protest was dismissed by stewards and correct weight was given.

Jockey C. Dixon was reprimanded under AR 137(a) and reminded of his obligation to keep is mount straight.
