Race 1: BARCALDINE MEATS CLASS B HANDICAP - 1000 metres
BONTEMPELLI – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.
NAYTELLRHI – Contacted heavily at the start.
SEACITY – Jumped inwards making contact with NAYTELLRHI, and then slow into stride.
Race 2: SHAKESPEARE HOTEL BM 70 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
STRATEGIC WEAPON – Jockey C.Dixon stated the saddle slipped when approaching the 800m unbalancing the rider momentarily.
NO OTHER WAY – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
LAST PARDEE – Approaching the 150m shifted in when trying to find clear running hindering WIGPOOL. Apprentice G Leung was cautioned and reminded of his responsibilities when shifting ground.
WIGPOOL – Eased and changed course when an outside runner shifted ground when not sufficiently clear.
TYPHOON – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.
I’M A ZULU – Blundered out of the gates.
Race 3: CAPRICORN PLUMBING & BUILDING SUPPLIES BM 45 HANDICAP - 1300 metres
SKY DISK was a late scratching at 12:30pm as there were no jockeys available.
ROYAL FROLIC – Was slow to begin.
FASTPITCH – Jumped away awkwardly.
CURLEY GREY – Slow to begin and showed no early speed.
READY FOR ROYALTY – Slow into stride and travelled wide for the majority.
Race 4: IRON BARK INN QTIS BM 60 HANDICAP - 1300 metres
ARTANIS – Slow to begin and wide for the majority of the event.
ICE MELODY – Jumped outwards and lay out for several strides tightening outside runners.
LARABEE – Contacted at the start from inside and outside runners, losing ground and rightful position in the race.
MONTH OF SUNDAYS – Jumped in making contact with STANDOVER and lay in for several strides.
STANDOVER – Jumped away awkwardly and contacted by outside runner causing the gelding to be eased.
SPURSYN – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
Race 5: AUSTRAILIAN WORKERS UNION TREE OF KNOWLEDGE CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1600 metres
A DEPENDANT – Travelled wide for the majority of the race.
NEPTUNE EXPRESS – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the early and middle stages of the race.
SPIRIT OF MANY – Slow to begin and travelled wide for the majority.
BILLY GOAT – Jockey D.McMaster was cautioned about her whip use down the home straight.
C.Dixon the rider of CUMANI was fined the sum of $200 when he made a celebratory gesture at the conclusion of the race. AR137(c).
