Blood samples were obtained approximately two hours post-race from winners of Races 1 to 5 (for TCO2 analysis)

Race 1: Toby & Gem Harris/ Toowoomba Truck Spares/ Kabzs Plumbing Class B Handicap- 1000 metres

SHOP FRAAR’N WIDE- Began awkwardly.

PINCQAR- Began well and from near the 800 metres commenced to race ungenerously and jumped the dust on occasions throughout.

YOU BETIWIN- Jumped out at the start.

GIRLSGOGIDDYUP- Taken out at the start.

CHOICE JOURNEY- Taken out at the start.

DAY LILLY- Slow to begin.

Race 2: Kamaran Downs & Birdsville Hotel Handicap- 1000 metres

ETERNO- Late scratching at 12.40pm due to no available rider.

FONDA DE LUCRE- Tightened at the start when runners either side shifted ground.

AZARAX- Slow to begin.

Race 3: Cava Hydraulics & Mead Perry Group Maiden Plate- 1100 metres

THE GREYMOUTH GIRL- Began awkwardly and lost some ground.

Race 4: George Bourne & Assoc/Cluny Station Bedourie Cup Open Handicap- 1600 metres

JOE BLOW- Declared a late scratching at 2.35pm due to no available rider.

TENMOREGRAND- Slow into stride.

MONBAZILLAC- Began awkwardly and shifted out shortly after the start.

KING BING- Shifted outwards shortly after the start.

PEACE TALKS- Slow to begin.

UAROO- Slow to begin.

Stewards inquired into an incident which occurred near the 1400 metres which caused UAROO (J. Geppert) to clip heels and blunder. However, it was difficult to ascertain whether SECRETS (App S Chan) had shifted inwards or NO OTHER WAY (D. Rewald) had placed pressure on SECRETS. As doubt existed as to the cause of this incident, Stewards could not be satisfied to apportion blame and took no action.

Race 5: IOR Energy & McInnes Wilson QTIS BM 60 Handicap- 1200 metres

HIDDEN CHIEF- After competing in Race 2, underwent a veterinary inspection and was passed to take its place in the field.

OUR MAGIC MADGE- Declared a late scratching at 3.45pm due to no available rider.

INSTINCTIVE MOVE- Jumped away awkwardly, slow into stride and lost ground.

Race 6: Jean Smith Memorial Class 6 Handicap- 1300 metres

ETERNO- Rider reported her mount made contact with the running rail near the 400 metres.

RHYTHM NATION- Rolled in near the 250 metres.

COUNT BLEVIC- Eased and shifted out near the 250 metres when another runner rolled inwards.
