GENERAL
All races were put back one race, with the exception of Race 7 to be run at 5.30pm due to the veterinary surgeon being required off course due to an emergency situation.
Race 1: DUBIOUS @ AQUIS Class 1 Plate 2450 metres
Dejakkal – Having raced at Kilcoy 18 September 2020, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
October Joy – Having raced at Kilcoy 18 September 2020 underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
Schwarzy – Slow to begin.
Mondena – Shifted three wide leaving the 1000 metres and raced wide from that point onwards.
Dydee’s Girl – Jockey N Tomizawa was cautioned regarding the use of his whip on a horse out of contention.
Race 2: PIERATA @ AQUIS Class 3 Handicap 1650 metres
Top Society – Over raced in the early stages. When questioned regarding the gelding’s performance jockey R Goltz explained that in his opinion the mare failed to back up from its previous run and further added that the mare was up in class today. Trainer N Gay agreed with jockey Goltz comments and added that it would be his intention that the mare be sent for a spell after today’s performance. Stewards noted their explanations. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed no apparent abnormalities.
Walkinshaw – When the pace slackened leaving the 1500m shifted wider to improve until near the 800 metres to race outside the leader.
Nice Retort – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
Blackmailer - Improved into a doubtful run leaving the 400m and had to be restrained. Apprentice A Thompson was advised to show greater care in similar circumstances.
Race 3: TAB Class 2 Plate 1300 metres
Burning Success – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start.
Open Road – Slow to begin.
Ubetwedo – Over-raced in the early stages.
Race 4: VALE COLIN UNDERHILL Maiden Plate 1400 metres
San Bernardino – Slow to begin.
Momemory – Slow to begin. Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the race.
Greyt Intentions – Commenced to over-race approaching the 800 metres and shifted out racing three wide without cover for the remainder of the race.
Boomi's Buddy – Laid out rounding the home turn.
Mail Model – Raced four wide without cover for the majority of the race. Compounded over the concluding stages.
Race 5: DUBIOUS @ AQUIS BM62 Handicap 1400 metres
Due to a malfunction with the photo finish camera, correct weight was delayed to allow the Stewards and judges to view the patrol footage to ascertain fourth placing. As no margin could be established a dead heat for fourth place was declared on number 5 (Vassa Blue) and number 8 (Conquering Judas) and correct weight semaphored.
Conquering Judas – Slow to begin.
Yaba Dabl Doya – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
Court Rules – Over-raced leaving the 1100 metres and shifted three wide with cover for the majority of the race.
Secret Conquest – Disappointed for a run leaving the 200 metres and shifted out around heels to improve.
Race 6: PIERATA @ AQUIS Fillies and Mares 0 - 55 Handicap 1200 metres
Petite Elle –Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer V Heading that due to a misunderstanding when being plated, standard race-day plates were used. Stewards granted permission for the mare to race without concussion plates. This was broadcast via media outlets. Over-raced in the middle stages.
Rock Tour –Leaving the 600 metres improved onto the heels of Namo Kekeni and shifted wider.
Heart of Australia –Shifted in shortly after the start hampering Tiz.Shifted in leaving the 1100 metres inconveniencing Onaroll. Rider V Venkaya was severely reprimanded and advised to be clear when shifting ground. Commenced to over-race leaving the 1000 metres and improved onto the heels of La Dalliance when the pace slackened slightly. Restrained when racing in restricted room and commenced to over-race and then shifted in near the 600 metres inconveniencing Namo Kekeni.
Tiz –Hampered shortly after the start by Heart Of Australia which shifted in.
Namo Kekeni –Over-raced in the middle stages. Restrained when inconvenienced by Heart Of Australia which shifted in when over-racing near the 600 metres.
Sheindlin –Shifted in and away from Heart Of Australia which shifted in approaching the 1000 metres. Raced three wide in the middle stages.
Onaroll –Restrained and shifted out leaving the 1100 metres to avoid the heels of Heart Of Australia which shifted in.
Race 7: TAB Colts, Geldings and Entires 0 - 55 Handicap 1200 metres
Lwazi –Having raced at Kilcoy 18 September 2020 underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Trainer B. Robinsonwas fined the sum of $100 in that he failed to declare a rider for the gelding by the prescribed time pursuant to LR67(1). Hampered shortly after the start.
Duellator –Having raced at Dalby 19 September 2020, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
Nakanai –A pre-race veterinary examination cleared the gelding to start. Tightened for room on jumping
Clickety Clicks –Began awkwardly and shifted in making heavy contact with Oakfield Geronimo. Raced wide for majority of the race. Laid in near the 400 metres crowding Turbo Teddy. Compounded over the concluding stages. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Turbo Teddy –Crowded for room near the 400 metres and was steadied.
Oakfield Geronimo –Bumped heavily on jumping by Clickety Clicks which began awkwardly and shifted in.
