Supplementary Report:
Following Race 1 the ambulance had to transport apprentice jockey Matthew McNelis who was suffering from heat stress and dehydration to hospital. Stewards then amended the starting times for the last 4 races. Races 2, 3 and 4 were all put one race and Race 5 was put back to start at 5:10pm. Apprentice McNelis to be advised that he requires a medical certificate of clearance before riding again.

Race 1 - BLACKALL IGA Class 3 Plate 1050 METRES
1st – HIDDEN CHIEF 2nd – I’M A CLANGER 3rd GO SAI 4th – SHARDAY

ZERZURA slow into stride.
SPINTHESONY began awkwardly
TAVY KNIGHTS began awkwardly and resented the dirt coming back in its face during the race.
HIDDEN CHIEF over raced in the early stages when been restrained.
MISSAMORK raced wide throughout without cover.
FASTPITCH raced wide throughout without cover.

Race 2: P ANDERSON & S HARRIS BOOKMAKERS Maiden Plate 1050 METRES
1st – JEDDA’S GIRL 2nd – DANCE TO INSPIRE 3rd BONTEMPELLI 4th - PUBLIC FORTUNE

BONTEMPELLI was slow away.
Shortly after the start NAHARIYA shifted out and bumped DANCE TO INSPIRE.
NO MORE ISSUES jumped out at the start and then raced wide throughout without cover.
PUBLIC FORTUNE began awkwardly, ran out under pressure in the straight.




Race 3: BARCOO BUTCHERY OPEN Handicap 1050 METRES
1st – FOUR IRON 2nd – GESINK 3rd – KANSKJE 4th – WIGPOOL

Stewards permitted jockey Cameron Dixon to ride JACOPO 3kg overweight when no other rider was available.

AS the start was effected A DEPENDANT turned its head to adjoining outside barrier and as a consequence was extremely slow to leave the barriers.
KEREDARI was slow to jump and failed to show any early speed.
POWERFUL JET was slow into stride then raced wide throughout without cover.



Race 4: WILLS WELDER WORKS BenchMark 55 Handicap 1200 METRES
1st – YULETIDE 2nd – FERRIGNO 3rd – HENNY’S HERO 4th - LA CLOISONNE

Stewards permitted jockey Cameron Dixon to ride FERRIGNO 1.5kg overweight when no other rider was available.

HANDY’S HERO began awkwardly.
LA CLOISONNE slow into stride
CHEEKY EXPRESS raced wide throughout without cover.
BILLY JAY raced wide throughout without cover.
PINTERRA returned to the enclosure with blood coming from one nostril. Trainer Richard Simpson was advised that PINTERRA was barred from racing until its passes a 1000 metre trial to the satisfaction of stewards.

Race 5: BLACKALL MAGPIES BenchMark 65 Handicap 1400 METRES
1st – CRAWFISH 2nd – HELLUVA HURRY 3rd – KEV’S DESTINY 4th – HUGHIE AND ME

DOMINANT DISPLAY was slow to jump.
INSTINCTIVE MISS knuckled at the start, slow into stride then raced wide throughout without cover.
KEV’S DESTINY raced wide throughout without cover.
ICE MELODY raced wide throughout without cover.
