SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Due to the track receiving rain on Friday the day before the meeting. Stewards inspected the track at 6:30am on race day with race club officials, trainers representative Charlie Prow and jockey representative David Rewald and after doing so declared the track suitable for racing.
Race 1: ARCADIAN MEAT CO QTIS Class 1 Handicap 1050 metres
LASSELL – rider stated LASSELL failed to run out the distance.
WIKI – raced wide throughout.
MUSTAFA – approaching the 50 metres run up onto the heels of the tiring LASSELL and was switched to the inside by rider.
SOLARCH – raced wide throughout.
LOVE OVER GOLD – brushed with POWER LOAD at the start.
POWER LOAD – brushed with LOVE OVER GOLD at the start.
REALLY REALLY GOOD – slow into stride and failed to show any early speed.
Race 2: BULL CREEK BEEF OPEN Plate 1050 metres
FLASH FIBIAN – very fractious prior to the start and as a result was slow into stride.
FAB’S COWBOY – App. Tyler Leslight pleaded guilty to a charge under the terms of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100 metres, 2 more than permitted. Jockey Leslight was issued with a reprimand.
NO REFUND – slow into stride.
ZUKAZ – raced wide throughout.
ZILITOR – raced wide throughout.
Race 3: LAMBERT Maiden Plate 1200 metres
MATAGORDA – approaching the 750 metres was tightened for room for a couple of strides when racing between MISS BEBIFITS and IRRESISTABULL.
HEAVEN BLESS – raced wide throughout.
IRRESISTABLE – raced 3 wide throughout without cover.
Race 4: SWAN HILL BENCHMARK Handicap 1200 metres
MUSIC AWARD – raced wide throughout.
FROZE – slow into stride, raced greenly from the 1200 metres to the 800 metres, rider lost the whip 200 metres after the start.
VON SAGA – raced wide throughout.
SURPRISE SELECTION – raced wide throughout.
VIKING RAID – was fractious prior to the start.
Race 5: FOREST PARK SANTA GERTRUDIS Class 3 Plate 1400 metres
GONZO – raced wide throughout.
BRAVE NICK – began awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride.
THE LANDING – began awkwardly and raced wide throughout.
Race 6: STRATHMORE BLACKALL CUP/COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER OPEN Handicap 1400 metres
BURDEN – raced wide throughout with cover.
HALCYON HOUSE – was slow away.
SOLE HEIR – raced wide throughout.
GYPSY BIKER – was slow into stride.
