BLUFF – BLACKWATER AMATUER RACE CLUB– SATURDAY 28th NOVEMBER, 2015

Race 1: Memorial BM 60 Handicap – 950 metres

ME FAST TOO- Tightened between runners and lost some ground on jumping when KIARA QUEEN jumped outwards. Raced wide throughout.

KIARA QUEEN- Raced wide throughout.

EMPRESS AYLEAH- Raced wide from the 700 metres.

Race 2: Blackwater Hotel Motel Class B Handicap- 950m

AUTHENTIC SWING- Jumped out at the start. Near the 800 metres and near the 600 metres, hung out and was steadied from heels of another runner.

MOZZINATOR- Jumped in at the start.

Race 3: Hannah Vagg Celebration Class 4 Handicap- 1200 metres

SAGACIOUS FLAME- Knuckled at the start and raced wide throughout.

JUST DO SOMETHING- Raced three wide without cover throughout. Rider reported the gelding had travelled well however from the home turn was under pressure and from the 200 metres he had concerns with regard to its action. A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow-up on the post-race condition of the gelding.


Race 4: T&J Whitehouse Investments Newmarket Open Handicap- 1200 metres

As Apprentice Z White weighed without irons, she was fined $100 for negligence. AR 175(k)

No racing incidents to report.

Prior to correct weight, Apprentice Z White and Trainer T Button (SCHOORWIN) viewed the photo finish image for 1st. After doing so, Trainer T Button made application to correct the judge’s placing to a dead heat due to no reverse image of the placed horses being available. Statements were taken from the judge, Mr G Campbell and Mr Button, and consideration given as to AR 156 (1) in that the judge’s decision is final and AR 156 (3) in that Stewards may correct the judge’s placings in the event of error. Stewards determined that no evidence existed to satisfy Stewards that the judge had made a mistake in the declaration of the finishing order and accordingly declared correct weight on the judge’s placings

Race 5: C.H. R. C QTIS Maiden Plate- 1200 metres

This race was delayed to allow power to be restored to water services in the horse tie-up area.

SHALAMAR GIRL- Dislodged rider in preliminary and escaped riderless. On being captured, it was observed it had near fore plate and had sustained an injury its heel. Stewards declared it a late scratching at 4.20pm. Prior to correct weight, all bets were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions were to be applied to winning bets- 12 cents Win and 14 Place.

EQUAL RULER- Public announcements were made the mare had placed 2nd of 7 in Mackay on Thursday 26th November, beaten 1.8 lengths.

BURJ AL- Tightened when runners shifted ground at the start.

Race 6: Jellinbah Mining BM 55 Handicap- 1300 metres

INTIMATE KINGDOM- Raced wide throughout.

ON THE BID- Raced wide throughout.

Race 7: Schwarz Excavations Bluff Cup BM 65 Handicap- 1800 metres

ZABEELZEBUB- Began awkwardly.

PREEN QUEEN- Raced three wide without cover until near the 800 metres.

CLASPED- Slow to begin.
