Race 1: Cameron Racing Benchmark 65 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – PHOENIX FORCE 2nd – KILLER WASP 3rd – DANGER DIVA 4th – PRELUSIVE STRIKE

Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Jockey T Bannon for her late arrival on course.

ALO MAGIC – Wide throughout.

DANGAR DIVA – Wide throughout.

VERMITHRAX – Jockey T Bannon reported that in her opinion the gelding raced flat. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

Race 2: Koorelah Farms Maiden Plate 1200 metres:
1st – SPURS ON 2nd – ON THE BID 3rd – ENCORONADA 4th – CRAIGLEA SACHA

TUFF TOBY – Was difficult to load then slow to begin.

JORDANS JET – Began awkwardly.

SPLINTER – Was slow away.

HELOW TUCKER – At the 700m was momentarily tightened for room and had to be steadied.

Stewards opened an inquiry into the reason why HELOW TUCKER had to be checked approaching the 650m. On the evidence it was established that near that point JAHVAIN (T Bannon) shifted in when not clear, however stewards were mindful that JAHVAIN had been racing tight to the inside of SPURS ON (App K Aho) at that point. Jockey Bannon was issued a reprimand under AR137(a).

GREENSKI – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance Jockey J Felix explained that he had been instructed to ride the mare in a forward position however GREENSKI failed to stretch out despite his urgings. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any significant abnormalities.

Race 3: North QLD Horse Transport QTIS Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – FLIGHT TO GLORY 2nd – LUCKY BOBBY 3rd – BLUE DANUBE 4th – BUCKANARA

ILLUSIONS – Bumped at the start.

BLUE DANUBE – Bumped at the start.

ALL ROSIE – When questioned regarding the poor performance Jockey G Watson explained that after being slow to begin the gelding failed to stretch out and may have jarred out on the firm track conditions. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any significant abnormalities.

Race 4: Chris Richards Insurance & Investment Class B Handicap 1470 metres:
1st – SUPREME ROCKET 2nd – AUTHENTIC SWING 3rd – COOL TRICK 4th – SHUFFLES

No racing incidents.

Following the running of this race Jockey F Edwards was attended to by the Ambulance Officers and found to be suffering from dehydration.

Race 5: J J Richards & Sons Open Handicap 1470 metres:
1st – STARLISTIC 2nd – MOB RULE 3rd – NATE 4th – RED GAZE

STARLISTIC – Prior to the running of the race connections advised that it was their intention to have the mare ridden back in the field. Public announcements were made to this effect. Was ridden accordingly.
