Race 1: COL LEATHER BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000m:
 
SEEKTOWIN – Slow to begin.
 
GINGERSNAP – Shifted in soon after the start hampering another runner.
 
HURAI – Hampered by another runner soon after the start.
 
AMAHERO – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.
 
ANNE CATHERINE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
AMERICAN HERO – Raced wide for the majority of the race.   
 
Race 2: CENTRAL HOTEL BOWEN QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m:
 
HAMMERFEST – Stood flatfooted and lost ground.
 
HARMONY BREEZE – Slow into stride.
 
MIDGIE GREM – Inconvenienced by another runner near 800m which was forced inwards by another runner which was racing ungenerously and hung in.
 
PRINCE OF MINE – Forced inwards near the 800m by another runner which hung in.
 
COOL KITTY – Inconvenienced by another runner near the 800m, had to be restrained and lost ground. In this incident, its saddle shifted to the near side putting rider at a disadvantage.   

AL MAH ROCKET – Raced ungenerously and hung in near the 800m despite the efforts of its rider tightening runners to its inside. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on its racing manners.
 
NORTHERN SECRET – When questioned into the improved performance trainer J Campeao stated that whilst he had been disappointed with the filly’s past performances it had always shown some ability and attributed todays improved performance to the addition of blinkers for the first time. His explanation was noted.     
 
Race 3: PIT PONY TAVERN OPEN HANDICAP 12000m:
 
FAR NORTH – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
STELLAR KNIGHT – When questioned regarding its improved performance as to its previous start, trainer O. Cairns stated that in her opinion the gelding failed to handle the heavy track conditions on that day. Stewards noted her explanation.
 
 
Race 4: GRANDVIEW HOTEL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1280m:
 
FRENCH SONG – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Momentarily hampered near the 250m by another runner which shifted out.
 
GOLDEN DEPART – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
PERFECTLY SWEET – Shifted out to obtain clear running near the 250m hampering another runner. Rider M. Abe advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
Race 5: QUEENS BEACH HOTEL CLASS B HANDICAP 1470m:
 
SPY CI – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.
