Race 1: SOUTH BURNETT TIMES/ BGA AGRI SERVICES CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m

LIKE LALA - Stood flat footed and lost ground. Held up for clear running over the clear running over the final 100m.

SPIDAZAM - Shifted out abruptly on jumping away bumping another runner. Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn had to be checked from heels

MYSTERY ANGEL - Began awkwardly, hung out rounding the home turn.

FIELDS OF OXLEY - Tightened at start, shifted in under hard riding over the concluding stages. Jockey D. McIntosh was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

LE BASTILLE - Raced wide throughout.

ROMP IT IN - Raced 4 deep without cover, at the 150m was bumped and inconvenienced.

Correct weight was delayed to allow jockey D. McIntosh, the rider of the 2nd placegetter FIELDS OF OXLEY to view the photo finish print. Jockey D. McIntosh was subsequently satisfied with the judge’s placings and correct weight was declared.

Race 2: SOUTH BURNETT TIMES/ BGA AGRI SERVICES CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m

DR HOUSE - Began awkwardly, App H Phillips was reprimanded for permitting her mount to shift in under hard riding near the 50m resulting in another runner having ease.

FLYING BLU GIRL - Began awkwardly and raced wide throughout.

BIZARRE ROCK - Inconvienced at the start. Eased at the 50m
FLAMINGO ROSE - Raced 3 deep without cover.

SCRATCHY - Hungout rounding the home turn.

When questioned regarding the below market expectations of I AM MCLOVIN Jockey J. Missen stated the gelding travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages of the event but when placed under pressure at the 300m failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.



Race 3: CLOVELY ESTATE/ 4SB 1071 AM/ TED FISHER BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000m

EXCEEDINGLY FINE – Slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

NUG’S POCKET - Slow to begin.

NADOR - Raced wide throughout.

COME ON LU LU - Shifted in under pressure over final 150m

Correct weight was delayed to allow jockey J. Missen, the rider of the 2nd placegetter TROPICAL HEATWAVE to view the photo finish. After viewing the photo Jockey J. Missen placed an objection on the judge’s placings. After taking evidence from all the connections involved and the judge, stewards could not be comfortable in altering the judge’s numbers and correct weight was declared.



Race 4: SELBY KEYS MEMORIAL/ HOT FM QTIS MAIDEN PLATE SET WEIGHTS 1200m

HUSSY FIVE OH - Slow to begin.

FLINDERS LUCK - Slow to begin.

DOLLAR MUNCHER - Slow to begin.

TAKE NO NOTICE - Slow to begin.

MOWER - Raced wide the majority.

BURKETOWN LARRIKIN - Raced wide the majority, at the 400 had to steady from heels.



Race 5: SELBY KEYS MEMORIAL/ HOT FM QTIS MAIDEN PLATE SET WEIGHTS 1200m

The start of this race was delayed when SHUTTLE MISS was kicked by another runner behind the barriers, filly was examined and was declared a late scratching at 3:12 pm by order of stewards acting on vet’s advice. All monies invested on SHUTTLE MISS were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and place-getters prior to 3:12pm.

10 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - # 13 MADAME BOLLINGER

DICKY TICKER - Stood flatfooted as the start was effected losing considerable ground 4 lengths. Trainer S. Smith was advised that a warning would be placed on the barrier manners of DICKY TICKER.

COL’S PRIDE – Slow to begin, inconvenienced shortly after and raced wide throughout.

SHE’S THE GOODS - Awkward into stride.

HAY LIFE - Over the concluding stage had to steady when tightened for room.

MADAME BOLLINGER - Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages. Apprentice S. Lacy was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.



Race 6: AGFORCE QLD/ PATRONS CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1200M

The start of this race was delayed when MORE OF THE ZAIM was fractious and unable to be loaded into the barriers. The gelding was declared a late scratching at 3:52pm by order of stewards. All monies invested on MORE OF THE ZAIM were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and place-getters prior to 3:52pm.

Trainer S. Mcewan was advised MORE OF THE ZAIM must obtain a barrier certificate prior to its next race.

AMBER ALE - Slow to begin.

TORNADOES - Approaching the 200m was obliged to shift out around heels to obtain clear running.

Apprentice D. Daniel was reprimanded for her use of the whip in a forehand manner prior to the 100m.



Race 7: CROW FM 90.7/ SBRC MAYOR’S COMMUNITY FUND BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1600m

FUNNY FELLOW - Slow to begin.

KING OF JACKS - Slow to begin.

CROSS THE STAR - Slow to begin.

HIP TO BE SQUARE - Raced wide the majority.

CARLSON’S FELT - Checked at the 400m losing its position.

L. Appo, the rider of RED BERETTA, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that near the 400m he allowed his mount to shift out when not fully clear of CARLSON’S FELT, resulting in CARLSON’S FELT having to be checked and losing its rightful running. Jockey L. Appo’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 6 meetings, with the term to commence at midnight on Saturday 9th May 2015 and expire at midnight on 21st May 2015.
