RUBIDIS Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
DOWNNS RIDGE Fractious during preliminary. Fractious in the barriers prior to start, began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Trainer J. Bowden was, advised a warning would be placed on the gelding pre-race and barrier manners.

BUSH LAYWER Slow to begin. Laid in leaving the 600m crowding runners to its inside. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider K. Ballard advised Stewards that in his opinion the gelding was not comfortable on todayys track conditions..
 
ROTHSTEIN Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 600m.
 
NIGHT WOLF Raced in restricted room near the 600m and lost ground.
 
CRAIGLEA SWIFT Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 600m.

WHAT THE HECK Slow to begin.
 
CARRY ME Began awkwardly, shifted in bumping another runner. Compounded in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near side foreleg and generalised stiffness. Trainer J. Bowden was advised he must provide a full veterinary certificate of soundness and must also trial the horse to the satisfaction of Stewards before being permitted to race again.
