Race 1: L & F MINE TRANSFERS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 800 Metres   ( 8 Starters).
1st   HI MACKAY  2nd  ONE TUFF CUPCAKE   3rd  COLEY    4th  SHADOWS OF SIN
 
CALDANE  was a late scratching at 12.30pm as no suitable rider was available. 
 
STAR TRUCE – Jumped inwards making heavy contact with runner to inside and then raced ungenerously with head in the air.  Rider took gelding to outside to avoid other runners and raced wide for the remainder of the race. Trainer T. Parry was advised STAR TRUCE must successfully complete a barrier trial in the presence of Stewards before starting again.
 
SYNFUL – Bumped heavily by runner to outside on jumping, losing considerable ground. 
 
ALLUDER – Fractious in barriers prior to jumping, knuckled badly on jumping inconveniencing rider and lost ground.
 
HI MACKAY – Raced wide rounding home turn.
 
SHADOWS OF SIN -  Raced wide rounding home turn.
 
CAPT’N THUNDER – Jumped inwards at the start. 
 

Race 2: QUEENSLAND RURAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE  – 1000 Metres  (6  Starters).
1st  SERIOUSLY HAPPY  2nd  THANK YOU   3rd   PURE FETISH   4th  MARINE ON PARADE 
 
VEGANER – Began very awkwardly and bounded in the air losing considerable.  Rider reported gelding had been unsettled in the barriers when start was effected.  Raced wide most of the way.
 
I KAN CONQUER – Jumped in the air at the start.  Was uncompetitive for most of the event. 
 
THANK YOU – Raced wide most of the way. 
 
MARINE ON PARADE – Was having first start for twelve months.  Lost ground near 500 metres and again in home straight.  Rider advised this was the result of resenting the kickback.   
 
 
Race 3: ELDERS BENCHMARFK 45 HANDICAP  – 1000 Metres.  (10  Starters).   
1st  VEE EIGHT SIXTY  2nd  DUNNYS STAR   3rd  MONDUKE   4th  BORN TO FIRE 
 
SASSY DRAGON – Slow into stride.  As mare apparently performed below market expectations rider interviewed and advised that the mare had begun awkwardly and then had not travelled well at any point in the race. At the 800 metres he had moved to the outside to avoid the soft inside going but to no effect and had pulled up with no physical problems.
 
DUNNY’S STAR – Slow into stride. 
 
AZUSA – Raced wide all the way.
 
VEE EIGHT SIXTY – Jumped awkwardly and raced wide in the early stages 
 
BELL CHOISIR – Raced wide most of the way.   
 
 
Race 4:  FOOTY’S TRANSPORT CLASS 3 PLATE.  – 1200 Metres.  (11 Starters).
1st  MOLONGLE HERO   2nd    MORE NORTHERLY    3rd  RAGE WITHIN    4th  YOUR WAY OR MINE 
 
WANTABETHEONE -  Was restless in the barrier and  reared as the gates opened, rider struck in  face by horse’s head causing considerable discomfort throughout the race.  Rider advised she did not require medical treatment.
 
CIDARIS – Blundered on jumping and lost ground.   
 
MAGNIFICENT SHOW – Slowly away, raced wide all the way. 
 
RAGE WITHIN – Raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn. 
 
FAB FOUR – Raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn.
 
CHOMARU – Hung out most of the way.
 
YOUR WAY OR MINE – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
 
Race 5: CURLY’S TRANSPORT BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP.  – 1400 Metres   (9  Starters).
1st  DON’T TELL PETE   2nd   ALDREN    3rd   DIURNAL TIGER   4th   SMOOTH GENERAL
 
MOLONGLE CHIEF – Raced wide all the way.  
 
ALDREN -  Raced wide most of the way and very wide down the home straight. 
 
SMOOTH GENERAL – Raced wide most of the way. 
 
BETTER CALL SAUL – Performed well below market expectations in finishing a distant last.  Rider interviewed and advised from the 1000 metres the gelding had hung out badly and he was unable to control the gelding and eased out of the race in the home straight.  Veterinary examination revealed lacerations to both sides of the mouth. Trainer advised a veterinary certificate of fitness is required before gelding can again start in a race.
