RACE 1 - BRANDOWN & ASSCN./ WDC. - CLASS 1 HCP 1030m

SIR STEPHEN was declared a late scratching at the barriers at 1:35 PM on Veterinary advice. All monies invested on SIR STEPHEN were ordered to be refunded on bets placed prior to 1:35pm and the following deductions applied:

Winner – CONMIGO - 0c in the dollar for the win
Winner - CONMIGO – 3c in the dollar for the place
Second - RED WARNING - 6c in the dollar for the place
Third - CHILLDOWN - 5c in the dollar for the place

Mr J Hearne was advised that a Veterinary Certificate for SIR STEPHEN would now be required prior to being permitted to race again.

TEEMOLTON – Proved difficult to load. Trainer M. Smith was advised that a warning would now be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.

BARNTOWN - Reared as the gates opened and lost considerable ground.

LE BASTILLE - Shifted in at 800m.

CONMIGO – Forced wider on the track rounding the home turn.

RED WARNING - Ran very wide on the home turn taking.

COOL DAYS - Was slow to begin. Raced greenly at the 100m. The rider of Cool Days, Appr L. Tilley was questioned regarding the riding of the gelding over the concluding stages. Apprentice Tilley stated that COOL DAYS was racing ungenerously under the whip so he decided to push hands and heels over the final stages.

RACE 2 - CLUB HOTEL MAIDEN PLATE - 1030m.

FEROCIOUSJEWEL which could not be loaded was withdrawn at 2:23 PM. All monies placed on FEROCIOUSJEWEL were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions applied:

Winner - BOAT RACE 0c in the dollar for the Win
Winner – BOAT RACE 7c in the dollar for the place
Second - PLATINUM GRAY 4c Place in the dollar for the place
Third - SHES A KICKER 7c in the dollar for the place

Trainer G. Richardson was advised that Ferociousjewel would now be required to obtain a barrier certificate prior to racing again.

DAY LILLY - Refused to leave the barriers with the field and was tailed off. Trainer G. Teal was advised that DAY LILLY must undergo a satisfactory barrier trial prior to being permitted to racing again.

ST HELEN - Was slow to jump.

BOBS MARKS BOY - Drifted out in the early stages contacting another runner.

SHES A KICKER - Bumped in the early stages and then raced wide throughout.

LEMESEE - Hung out rounding the home turn.


RACE 3 - SLATERS ROAD SERVICE BENCHMARK 65 HCP - 1200M

LIVING IMAGE - Jumped awkwardly and moved outwards.

BAREMIN - Jumped inwards at the start. BARMIN was dictated inwards at the 100m and continued to move inwards over the concluding stages.

LE MAX - Was tightened at the start and lost ground.

CONHENRI - Eased in the straight after another runner shifted inwards.

SUN WILL SHINE - Shifted in under pressure in the straight after racing wide without cover during the middle stages.

SHADOW TALES – Began awkwardly and lost ground then tended to lay in during the early stages. Raced wide for the majority of the event.





RACE 4 - CHINCHILLA MACDONALDS OPEN HCP - 1400M

OGGIE - Ran wide on the home turn then rolled inwards down the running.


RACE 5 – PENTACON CLASS B HCP - 1400M

CHARZOOKA - Bumped heavily by another runner on jumping away. CHARZOOKA moved in at the 900M.

CELTIC CAT - Jumped inwards bumping a runner, then shifted out abruptly becoming unbalanced. Ran wide on the home turn.

FUNNY FELLOW - Eased off heels at 900m then contacted the running rail at 800m sustaining a superficial laceration behind its fore shoulder.
