Riding Changes:
When both J Long and R Graham did not ride at the meeting due to a misunderstanding, Stewards permitted the riding changes as per the Stewards summary on Friday 9th October;

Race 1: Post Office Hotel Maiden Plate 1000 Metres.
1st – WORLD MUSIC 2nd – CRAIGLEA SACHA 3rd – JUST POLITIC 4th – STAR OF ISAAC

CHARLIE CLANG - Was reluctant to load into the barriers and on jumping away was contacted by another runner.

STAR OF ISSAC – Was fractious in the barriers then began awkwardly making contacting with another runner. Raced wide rounding the 800 metre and home turns.

JUST POLITIC - On jumping away was contacted by another runner.

ROCKET ELEMENT - Raced wide rounding the 800 metre and home turns.

HOLLYWOOD STARLET - Raced wide rounding the 800 metre and home turns.

MUTAMANN – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 2: Joe & Pauline Bakhash Memorial QTIS Class 2 Handicap 1000 Metres.
1st – BORN TO FIRE 2nd – NO DELAY 3rd – MAHONGA 4th – HUIT DAMES

FAST ANNIE – When Jockey J Esser was a late riding engagement and as no other suitable rider was available Stewards permitted him to ride the mare 1.5kg over its declared weight. Proved difficult to load into the barriers. On jumping away was contact by another runner. Raced extremely ungenerously throwing its head in the air in the early and middle stages placing its rider at a distinct disadvantage. Raced wide most of the way. Rider stated mare did not appreciate the dust and kickback. Trainer Mr D Smith was advised that the mare must successfully complete a barrier trial prior to racing again.

BORN TO FIRE – Slow to begin then shifted in abruptly.

ARTIE’S SON – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

GRISWALD - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

BUCKANARA - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

SNAZZY SOX – Was crowded for room shortly after the start then was reluctant to stretch out due to the kickback and took no competitive part in the race. Trainer Mr W Crossland was advised that a warning would be placed geldings racing record and should it not improve at its next start it would be placed in barrier trials to prove its competitiveness.

Race 3: Allflex Australia & Landmark QTIS Class 2 Handicap 1000 Metres.
1st – SETH 2nd – GUSTO 3rd – RIVERS END 4th – BROTHER BOB/RIVERS END

When no other rider was available stewards permitted Jockey A.Spradau to ride CLEVER ONE 1kg over its declared weight.

FAVOURED ONE – Slow into stride.

GOOD MOOD - Raced wide rounding the 800 metre and home turns.

CHATEAU D’OR - Raced wide rounding the 800 metre and home turns.

RIVERS END - Raced wide rounding the 800 metre turn.

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable Jockey T.Hill the rider of joint fourth placegetter, BROTHER BOB, to view the photo of the finish. Having done so he was satisfied with the judge's placings and correct weight was declared.

Race 4: Sparrow Harrison SNR Memorial Class B Handicap 1200 Metres.
1st – MURRUMBIDGEE 2nd – ENCORONADA 3rd – TOP DECISION 4th – AMAZING MOSS

CHOMARU - Was fractious in the barriers then began awkwardly making contact with another runner. Raced wide rounding the 800 metre and home turns.

ENCORONADA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide rounding the 800 metre turn.

KENTUCKY BOY – Crowded for room at the start. Raced wide rounding the 800 metre and home turns.

DUKE’S DELIGHT – Crowded for room at the start. Raced wide rounding the 800 metre turn.

TEN TORINOS – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

SPURS ON – Blundered approaching the 200 metres.

Race 5: Niverak Smash Repairs Class 6 Plate 1200 Metres.
1st – DIURNAL TIGER 2nd – SKAZIA 3rd – SHANTUNG BOXER 4th – TAP IN BIRDIE

SHANTUNG BOXER – Was fractious in the barriers. Slow to begin.

TAP IN BIRDIE – Contacted another runner at the start.

DIURNAL TIGER – Contacted by another runner at the start.

KAYAN – Was difficult to load and fractious in the barriers. Slow to begin then shifted in abruptly making contact with another runner. Near the 500 metres was disappointed for a run and had to be steadied off heels losing ground. Raced wide rounding the home. Held up for clear running down the straight.

SKAZIA - Contacted by another runner at the start.

Race 6: Chinova Resources Class 3 Plate 1400 Metres.
1st – GENERAL SON 2nd – FLAMINGO ROSE 3rd – TOUGH COMPANY 4th – COWARDOFTHECOUNTY

GENERAL WEB – Slow to begin.

MORE TO IT - Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

MENELAION – Raced wide at the 1000 metres.

ROMANTICIZE – Raced wide at the 1000 metres.

WHAT THE HECK – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 7: Brodie Hardware Cloncurry Open Cup 1400 Metres.
1st – CARRY ME 2nd – ISLE BE READY (NZ) 3rd – REVEL IN THE CHAOS 4th – HOLEY GADOLEY

When no other rider was available stewards permitted Jockey A.Spradau to ride HOLY GADOLEY 1kg over its declared weight.

MINTARO (NZ) - Raced wide at the 1000 metres.

GUN AND POWER - Raced wide at the 1000 metres.
