ISADORE AMORE - Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.

RECONCILIATION - Hung out rounding the home turn. Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 100 metres. Raced wide throughout.

LUNAR LUCK - When questioned regarding his riding, in the presence of Racing Queensland Apprentice mentor Mr S. Scriven, Apprentice M. Haley explained that his instructions were not to place undue pressure on his mount in the early stages. He said that after beginning reasonably, when runners to his inside showed superior speed he elected to take up a rearward position closer to the running rail. He added that from the 600 metres his mount was inclined to lay in, and near the 200 metres continued to do so, shifted in despite his efforts and became awkwardly placed on the heels of another runner. App. Haley concurred with stewards that he made too great an effort to restrain his mount in the early stages and should have remained racing in a midfield position.

GINGA GAL - When questioned regarding the poor performance of the mare, Jockey J. Mallyon explained that from its wide barrier draw the mare was unable to muster sufficient speed to take up a prominent position, was constantly under pressure throughout and was disappointing.
