41¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, SAY LA FI

Trainer A. Bailey was advised that she must provide a veterinary clearance prior to Rylee's Saga being permitted to race again.

SAY LA FI - Began awkwardly, raced greenly and laid out rounding the home turn.

Rounding the turn near the 500 metres BAR BABY (App. B.Swaffer), which was inclined to lay out, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of TURN UP THE VOLUME (Jockey S.Wiseman), which shifted in when not quite clear. SAY LA FI (App. M. Kai), which was following, was hampered in consequence. Jockey S. Wiseman was severely reprimanded.

Jockey M. Morris, the rider of ZOOLICIOUS, pleaded builty to a charge of careless riding under A.R.137(a) in that passing the 450 metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of MITCHY'S INSTINCT (Jockey D. Simmons), which had to be checked and lost its rightful running. Jockey Morris was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on Saturday, 3rd October 2015 up to and including midnight on Sunday 11th October 2015.

TURN UP THE VOLUME - Inside the 200 metres Jockey S. Wiseman dropped her offside rein.

The explanation was noted.

ZEDAHEEL - App. K. Aho dropped her whip shortly after straightening for home.

Prior to the declaration of correct weight connections of second placegetter FIESTY BELLE elected to view the films to establish if there were grounds to lodge and objection against the winner SETTLERS WAY. After viewing the footage it was established that approaching the turn near the 500 metres SETTLERS WAY (Jockey W. D'Avila) improved into a doubtful run between FIRMITAS (Jockey S. Wilson) which shifted in marginally and KING MAGNUSSON (App. M. Kai), resulting in FIESTY BELLE (Jockey J. P. Stanley), which was was racing to the inside of SETTLERS WAY having to be severely checked and losing its rightful running. As the incident could not be soley attributed to SETTLERS WAY they declined to lodge an objection however jockey W. LOKUM - When questioned, Jockey S. Wiseman said that after beginning well her mount raced very keenly throughout the early stages and had to be continually steadied from the heels of runners in front. She said that approaching the home turn she again improved onto heels and had to be steadied. Jockey Wiseman added that shortly after straightening she was disappointed for a run and again had to be steadied, then raced in restricted room for the entirety of the home straight.

VALJEAN - When questioned regarding racing back in the field App. S. Payne said that his intention was to ride forward and gain a prominent position, however when runners to his inside showed superior speed, he elected to take up a rearward position closer to the running rail, where his mount travelled only fairly. He said that when placed under pressure in the straight his mount responded to his urgings and ran to the finish well.
