Race 1: Natural Evolution Foods Class 3 Plate 950 metres:
1st – EFFIGY BELLE 2nd – NO BITING 3rd – LA JINETA 4th – SAPODILLA
PRINCESS FELICIA - Scratched by Stewards due to no rider being available.
GIVE ME TIME – Stood flat footed as the start was effected and lost considerable ground.
EFFIGY BELLE – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
Race 2: Redlynch Central Maiden Plate 950 metres:
1st – FRENCHENKA 2nd – AHOTONE 3rd – SAY LA FI 4th – I’M RURRBELLIOUS
CORONATION JOURNEY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.
I’M RURRBELLIOUS – Bumped at the start.
LITTLE MISS SING – Bumped at the start.
HUMPTY BUMPTY – Raced greenly in the early stages.
AHOTONE – Raced greenly throughout then made contact with the running rail near the 200m.
Race 3: Pease St Discount Drug Store Three Years Old Plate 1250 metres:
1st – CRAIGLEE WANDOO 2nd – WICKED CRIME 3rd – RYLEE’S SAGA 4th – TURN UP THE VOLUME
CRAIGLEA ALTISE – Began awkwardly.
WICKED CRIME – On return to scale jockey C Lennon reported that his saddle slipped near the 600m placing him at a disadvantage.
MINNIE STREET – A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any significant abnormalities.
TURN UP THE VOLUME – Apprentice E Cass was reprimanded for allowing her mount to shift out under pressure in the straight.
Race 4: Cairns Total Physio Benchmark 60 Handicap 1250 metres:
1st – ARMY OF ONE 2nd – DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE 3rd – ROUND THE CORNER 4th – GOD’S REWARD
RACING IN THE WIND – Scratched by Stewards due to no rider being available.
GLAURUNG – Fractious in the barriers. Bumped at the start.
ARMY OF ONE – Bumped at the start.
Race 5: Australian Point Of Sale Solutions Benchmark 70 Handicap 1600 metres:
1st – KAMARAH 2nd – IDLE SITUATION 3rd – BLUE AXIS 4th – PEMBERTON
ADAPTED – When questioned regarding the performance jockey K Stone reported that after beginning slowly his mount never travelled comfortably throughout and felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be sore in the off foreleg. Stable representative was told that a veterinary certificate of fitness must be produced prior to the gelding racing again.
